Lets see, hmm. Good question, but here is my choice:

Why would he be American? I thought they were all, like, Chinese or something. So he's, like, African-Chinese....

Siro in MKC is holding a regular Lin Kuei recruit. It is possible that both Sektor and Cyrax looked like this, probably with different names, and when they were automated they were chosen colors (red, yellow) to represent difference between them and to differentiate what number of automation they were. (Color Coding) The names (Sektor & Cyrax) could have meaning to their human ones, as well.

Color Coding Example:

LK-9T9 (Sektor) = Red

LK-4D4 (Cyrax) = Yellow

It is believed that Cyrax is an African American, and it was believed Sektor was as well in MKDOTR. They could have been part African American and Chinese, since the Lin Kuei are a clan of Chinese ninjas. However, the Lin Kuei recruit anyone at birth and raise them to become one of the clan.

i've also wondered what their human names were because cyrax and sektor sure doesn't sound human

Here is what I think:

~ Tekumah= This one would fit Sektor the best. I got the main idea from Sektor's Tekunin army. Tekumah could mean "iron ninja" because "tekko" means "iron" in Japanese, and maybe Sektor was a skilled ninja of the Lin Kuei before automation.

~ Ckeb= This one is for Cyrax. Ckeb, is a Chinese word for 'humanity' and since Cyrax is the only cyborg to date to recover his humanity, then this one would fit him best as far as his story goes.

~ Ni= This one is for Smoke. Ni, is a Chinese word for 'smoke' and since Smoke was his Lin Kuei name before automation, who knows if his name (Ni) stems to his Lin Kuei one (Smoke). It makes sense, since the Lin Kuei have meaning to their naming, for instance, Sub-Zero-he possesses the ancient powers of Lin Kuei, which is the power of cold. Make sense?

So they'd be American citizens, recruited in America and raised in China? That doesn't make any sense....>_<

Well in MK:DOTR Sektor is black and Cyrax is asian, but in the games Cyrax is black and Sektor is ?? but nowadays he runs a clan of Japanese ninjas so maybe thats a clue. And yes, this is the official John Tobias mk2 comic so it is canon.

That proof makes no sense, Cyrax's MKGold ending wasn't cannon, hell, the whole MKGold game wasn't cannon if you ask me. Plus, Cyrax and Jax were in MKDA as separate characters, so idk.

I no that in mk deadly alliance, cyrax's alternate outfit was him when he was in the lin kuei and he was afrcan american. i went on google and typed in secktor and it showed alot of pictures of him unmasked! He is also afrcan american!

I think that Sektor,instead is a Japanese man,even if in DOTR he is black...
but after all in that shitly cartoon Cyrax is chinese.
