This question goes out to all of you lucky few who have had a chance to demo the game.
Can someone shed some light on the special moves for each character.
For example: Scorpion
What specials are universal and what are variation specific.
I going to branch out and say his spear, teleport punch and the leg trip are all probably universal. What about his classic hellfire?
Also based on the quan chi "sorcerer" variant and Kotal's "blood god" variant it looks like they have 3 unique abilities. Does this limit of 3 abilities seem be the equal across all variants?
Lastly, what "universal" special moves does Kotal have?

Honestly, TYM is probably the best place to look for in-depth discussion of the variations.
According to posters, for example...
Scorp's Universals - Spear, Leg Takedown, Teleport, Standing Flame Uppercut
Kotal's Universals - Anti-Air Grab, Standing Uppercut, and Disc Toss
Sometimes, they'll have screenshots of the game from conventions. If you do happen to come across them, an icon next to a special move indicates it is exclusive to a particular variation.
Hope this has been helpful. There's a great deal of information to be found there.

Yeah Test Your Might is where I go for more in depth discussions on variations/gameplay in MKX. They're great.

Navigate through the forum, I think its page 3. The topic is called Mortal Kombat X Live Stream Wednesday.
Click in. Go to page 6. There should be video links from the stream. That stream gives a better understanding of Quan Chi's Variations than ever before.

I have already seen it but I was wondering if they have been any changes in his variations since then.nightbreed_16 Wrote:
