Ya, Mavado is another one of those characters who is right in the brink in my opinion. He needs some work before I really consider him an essential, but he has the look, story, and has one of the coolest names in MK history. Once he gets some more credibility in the next MK, he may be one of the biggest characters in all of the game.

Thanks for the feedback Rubin. For now, I would place Mavado just outside of your top ten essentials list, but for the short term at least, he is needed. But yeah, I guess he does need a bit more development (and a couple more special moves won't hurt) to become a major player in the long run. I'd personally like to see them explain the history of the Red Dragon, as their appearance was kinda sudden for a clan supposed to have spawned the Black Dragon, and with only two known prominent (if you can call Hsu Hao prominent) members.

Quan Chi.

Unknown to most, I had managed to survive the initial battle with Onaga, and escape after Raiden's foolish sacrifice. During the events afterwards, I lay low, waiting for the chance to take back what was mine. When Onaga had finally been killed, I came across the Cleric of Chaos Havik, removing the Dragon King's heart. He was welcome to it, I now have my amulet back, overlooked by everyone else in the heat of battle. With the amulet back in my possession, I returned once more to the hellish Netherrealm. There, I reformed the Brotherhood of Shadow, and under my leadership, we became a feared clan once more.

But there was potential for so much more, and this time, I would not make the mistake of sharing my newfound power with those who dared consider themselves my equals. Having taken in the deceased Red Dragon leader Mavado, and teaching him the Brotherhoods techniques, he agreed to ally his criminal clan with me, for our eventual attack. I also gained the services of the Tarkatans led by Baraka, and from him now know that Mileena is posing as the Princess Kitana. This knowledge could prove most useful in my long term plan. I have also recently constucted a new weapon, one which increases my powers of sorcery even more. Interestingly, it uses the severed head of my former ally Shinnok, dead, but still containing all his knowledge of dark magic.

After recruiting Mavado and Baraka, I set about gathering all those considered to be the most evil, ruthless beings from across the realms. United under my leadership, our moment is coming near. With Raiden's forces divided and fighting amongst themselves, as well as more prominent threats such as Shao Kahn, the time is perfect to launch our first strikes. So far, our enemies have been too wrapped up in their own petty battles to successfully stand against us, and at this rate, the realms will be mine. For now however, I'm quite enjoying the sight of former allies battling each other over different beliefs, and am content to let them continue in this way. Once they destroy themselves internally, my forces will make their big attacks, pciking off any who happen to survive.

hey here are my varioations for the good guys. I know it may not follow your plotline, but I'm compelled to post it here too. BTW, nice concepts. I found it great tht you guys took up interest with Mavado and the Red Dra-gon. Not to mention, he and Quan Chi been allies ever since MKDA.

"After our defeat of the Deadly Alliance, we served as puppet guardians for Onaga, the Dragon King. Since our actions were influenced by the beasts power, and that we could not wreac havoc thanks to Ermacs timely inter-vention, we came back realitively unharmed without cousing too much ruckus in the Outworld.

After Onagas destruction we fled back to Earthrealm as fastest we could to use the small time before the upcoming conflict errupts. Since I now pa-used my movie career and returned my life completely to martial arts, I am now more prepared than ever before. Johnny Cage will show finesse and skill in the new onslughts war.

The new tournament took us by suprise. In Raidens short absence, the Elder Gods and we witnessed Onagas and Shao Kahns return to power,
not to mention the uncountable sides taking part in the turmoil. A new tour-nament is anounced, this time held and runed by the Elder Gods themsel-ves! No other battle has been fought like this, and the previous Mortal Kom-bats were a considerable joke compared o this one. Sure, i participate, but there is so much at stake.

As I travelled to Outworld with my newborn alliance of the Thuner Deity, Raiden, and my long time fellows, I stumbled upon a village desperate for help. The sorcerers that killed most of us, Quan Chis newborn army of de-mons are standing ready to assault the village. However, I have struck a deal with the bald spellcaster to ensure the safety of this village. But at a great cost what I think I may not be willing, or being ready to pay. This is John Carltons hardest choice.

I have seen the mocking of my friends death at the hands of Onaga, I have seen the desperate and futtile attempts of Shujinko, and I have seen the murderous vilains, Shang Tsungs and Shao Kahns return. Tsungs alliance with Shujinko and Shao Kahns onslaught has proved that my skills are once again needed, not only to put an end o this evil, but to protect earthrealms warriors from disbanding.

Under the wise guidance of Raiden, we march to participate in the new Mortal kombat, hosted by the gods themselves. Knowing that we must hold together to suceed, I shall reason with the renegade warriors, and deal with Shang Tsung as he deserves. My murdeerr shall soon know the champions wrath once more.

Even being confident in the righteousness o my intentions and actions, I sense that our leader, the thunder god Raiden is burdened heavily. "We have been returned to earthrealm after the warrior legion Ermac and my deceased friends spirit, Liu Kang has freed us all from Onagas, the Dragon Kings mind controll. After Shang Tsung and Quan Chi has been destroyed, and my body and mind rescued, I have been proven of my faults and lack of discipline. I needed to return to my shaolin roots, for a warrior with doubts in his heart cannot suceed. I returned to eartn for a few weeks alongside with my reborn ally and good friend Liu Kang who guided me back to the reformed White Lotus Society. With the aid of the Shaolin Court I have managed to cleanse myself from my doubts, my fears and my anger what have led me to my demise. Thanks to Raiden, we all made it back alive and well.

Several weeks have passed and it became even more clear, that despite Shujinkos efforts, Onaga managed to get back to power. And not only he has returned to threaten innocents. Goro, Prince of the Shokan has reallig-ned himself with Shao Kahn, who is in fact alive and ravages Otworld with-out mercy. I must face my ancestors greatest adversary, and despite the fact that he dishonored the pact of peace between us and Kitana, I will fa-ce him in honorable combat and defeat him, putting an end to this reign of terror. But the thunder god brought us maters what are even more troub-ling: Shujinko, the old master of arts has alligned himself with the always scheming Shang Tsung, bringing out a new alliance of chaos. I don't know what to think of this fact, for Raiden seems to distance himself from pea-cefull methods, but I agree that Shang Tsung alive means a danger to all of us and to our friends.

Only if Raiden would not sound so different and cold, and Liu would be less zealous towards him. I must investigate this on my own, to learn the truth, and when armed with knowledge, decide to strike down or not my murderer. Only if this obstacle is cleared can I face the Prince of the Sho-kans. The turmoil in my heart either turns out to be my doom or my salvation. This challenge I am prepared to take however."

SONYA BLADE

"After in our haste to confront the deadly Alliance without any strategy, we were killed on by one. The sorcerous Shang Tsungs and Quan Chis com-bined power was wastly underestimated by us, and we paid a greater pri-ce than our death. Following their complete triumph after the fall of Raiden, the Deadly Alliance turned on each other, and Quan Chi defeated Shang Tsung and claimed total victory. however the Dragon King was not impres-sed Even though Raiden, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung combined their po-wers, the beast claimed it's price and among the remnants of his army, us. Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Princess Kitana and Jax Briggs and I were to be pawns and guards for the Dragon King.

Knowing now that our hands are clean of the deeds we commited as mindless slaves to Onagas will, we have to gather every bit of strenght and resources we can muster to repersent earth against another threat. Despi-te all of Raidens efforts, Onaga still remains as a threat, and Shao Kahn has emerged from the shadows once more. Our alliance has disbanded, for the Lin Kuei has sided with Shujinko, a warrior responsible for relea-sing Onaga on the realms, and our savior, the warrior soul legion Ermac has dissapeared in the mystical world of Outworld.

However not all is lost. the upcoming war tournament announced by the Elders Tribunal should be the perfect place of demonstrating earthrealms power. Having the cyborg Cyrax back in our ranks boosts our morale as well, and my old time friend, the monk Liu Kang, Champion of Mortal Kom-bat has returned from the heavens in his astral form to fight along our side. This time, the Spec. Forces represents itself with Earths army. While the tournament comences, a wast number of troops would stand ready to defend the portals leading to Earthrealm."

JADE

"I remained a loyal servant to Edenia through decades of hiding and sche-ming, what was normal under Shao Kahns regime. Now, when the suvere-ignity of my homeland is once again-or still under siege by evil, I must re-main strong. Onagas tarkatas are vicious opponents and not even I can stand a chance against them in combat. But Jade has always been the mischievous spy of Shao Kahn. I faked defeat when I was surrounded on my mission to get Kitana back from the Dragon Kings custody, and I was carried before the sight of none other than Tanya!

The vile creature would have enjoyed my defeat, but she could not savior her triumph, for I have made one last act of desperate defiance towards the traitor. I smashed a crystal orb that contained concentrated tarkatan male essence in her face, and hoped for the best outcome. The tarkatas overwhelmed the treacherous seed of Edenia, and I tried to escape. How-ever, my luck has left me when I faced the return of the Five Generals of Onaga.

I must escape Onagas gigantic fortress and dungeons to find and warn my Queen, but i fear the worst. Ever since I was held captive, I had a strange foreboding what could mean our complete doom if i am not to hurry! Queen Sindel must be found and informed. My mission is not yet over! My mission is to ensure Edenias safety, even if it means my own demise!"

Recent events have been very trying for me. Considering me and the Lin Quei the biggest threats to his rule, Onaga sent much of his force in attempts to kill me. Kenshi saved me from an attack by Hotaru, slaying the Seidan guardsman, and with my newfound ancestral armour, I managed to overcome the Tarkatan hordes. Worse was to come, but not in the form of Onaga as I expected. Instead, I have learnt that my older brother is still alive, in the form of an evil Netherrealm wraith now named Noob. To make matters more difficult, he was in control of my best friend Smoke. After a long and vicious fight in his home realm, I managed to defeat them, but discovering his true indentity distracted me, allowing Noob to escape, first throwing shuriken into the cyborg's most vital parts.

I feared the worst, Smoke was seemingly beyond all help. But another demon, this one fortunately an ally of the Lin Quei's named Sareena appeared. Using magic she had learnt from her time with Shinnok, she managed to revive Smoke, but in an unexpected way. My oldest friend was now reborn in an almost transparent, etheral form, but this time was not vunerable to the manipulations his cyborg body was. Together, we returned to the Lin Quei base, to prepare ourselves for the next threat. During this time, the Shaolin monk Kung Lao came to me with wild stories of Raiden becoming increasingly dark, and violent. Having been in the Netherrealm, I had seen none of this, and told him I would not join him without unquestionable proof.

Now, I begin to doubt whether this was the right choice. Raiden has certainly changed, and this has resulted in former allies splitting into two distinct sides, Radien's and Kung Lao's. Sadly, for now, while we will aid both groups, the Lin Quei must stay out of these arguments. We act as mediators between the sides, nothing more. There are more urgent matters, such as the reappearance of Shao Kahn's forces, and from Sareena I learnt that Quan Chi is also planning his next move. Then I is also the new threat from Noob, the demon who was once my brother. Next time we meet, I must slay the wraith, and lay the soul of my honourable elder brother to rest.
By the way Chrome, I really like most of your ideas. Your twist on Shang Tsung joining the good guys was interesting, and the Jade story was great. Keep it up.

Thanks. i have all the characters of MKD and MKDA in different stages of production, but there is at least 20-30 remaining. Also, notice that i plan to use several chapters for the storyline. MK7 should have episodes in the story-line what would explain the happenings.

Baraka.

Mileena, who I loved for so many years has now turned on me! Throwing me aside now that she has managed to fool everyone into thinking she is Kitana. But I know the truth, and many attempts have been made to kill me. With everyone thinking she's the Princess, she can easily justify sending the Edenian armies on missions against me. A short while ago, a regiment of Edenian soldiers found me alone, and wounded from a previous encounter with Mileena. Her mission to get rid of me very nearly succeeded, but help came from a most unlikely source. The Netherrealm sorceror Quan Chi, and human criminal Mavado appeared, and helped me overcome the soldiers. We left no survivors.

It turns out that Quan Chi was looking to recruit me and the Tarkatans into the new army he'd secretly been building. He said in return that I would be given power over Edenia. The opportunity to take vengance on that realms royalty, their Earthrealm allies, and most importantly Mileena. We accepted, and while our enemies are caught up in their own battles, we make our first attacks. One day soon, the Tarkatans will cut bloody paths through Edenia, and rule that realm my way! Best of all, the false princess Mileena, now cannot possibly win. Even IF she manages to kill me, her secret will not die, and it will be her downfall. She will learn the price for using and betraying a true Tarkatan warrior like me!


Li Mei.

During the final battle against Onaga, I spent much of the time helpless, due to the corruption in my soul. Thanks to the Deadly Alliance's earlier sceme, I spent most of the fight in an internal battle with the corrupting force, which tried to force me to join Onaga. Fortunaltely, my allies managed to defeat and kill the Dragon King, and my friends helped me snap out of this. I also come to terms with the death of my teacher Bo Rai Cho, killed in the battle. Now, I was hoping everything was back to normal, I was wrong. Deciding that my friend and one time mentor Shujinko was personally responsible for Onaga's return, the thunder god killed him mercillessly. I would have quit the battle there and then, as all seemed lost if even those supposed to be heroes could turn on each other like this.

Another former student of Bo, Kung Lao found me, and explained that he had been vocal in his opposition to Raiden's new methods. Immediately, I offered to join him, glad there were others who saw sense, and the actor Johnny Cage and being know as Ermac followed too. While I continue my training with them, I must also suppress my inner evil, growing strong again after I learnt that Quan Chi still lives. Kung Lao told me of a sword in the Netherrealm which can cleanse a soul of evil, perhaps this is what I need to finally get rid of the Dragon King's taint. Not only must we convice Raiden to see sense before he himself, becomes a danger to all realms, I must also get to the Netherrealm and find this sword, and the man responsible for the evil in my soul... Quan Chi.

4. Sonya
Being tainted by Onaga's great power is a chapter in my life I would like to soon forget. I admittedly love to be in control with everything I do, and unlike most others I experienced no satisfaction while under Onaga's control. We set our sites for Shao Kahn's fortress shortly after being freed by Ermac. However, I was sidetracked by a familiar face in the outworld forest. This was a face I hadn't seen since childhood, and as I approached him, it became more and more clear who it was...


It was like it was yesterday. My brother Daniel and I were assigned to investigate a major drug traffic site. Such a prostegious mission was unheard of for two rookies. I had felt especially proud to have my brother as a partner, for we both had dreams of becoming part of the special forces when we were younger. Things ran smoothly, until the leader of the whole operation decided that he was going to go out alone, at which point he put a gun to Daniel's head and held him hostage. Daniel tried to comfort me with his deep confidence that ran much deeper than just being a partner, but I was nervous. He told me to shoot, and while I first I refused, I soon realized it was the best option, for I knew the thug was just as nervous as I was and would not shoot Daniel. I took aim for the thug's head, but I soon lost focus, and i was pulled the trigger I lost aim. I shot Daniel directly in the heart. I killed my brother in cold blood, and it was something I would never live down. From that point on, anytime I arrested a villain or defeated a thug, I felt it was not only for me, but for Daniel. Oddly enough, right before me was Daniel in the flesh. I at first thought I was hallucinating and that this was an evil vision Onaga put before me after peering into my deepest fears while I was possesed. Not caring whether it was real or not I walked towards him ready embrace him with a hug. As I came closer Daniel shoved me to the ground and laughed maniacally. He then explained to me how the great Onaga had granted him life again and that he was alligned with the black dragon and would kill me. What had happened to my innocent little brother, and how could I fight my own flesh and blood..perhaps to the death?"

Scorpion

I have become the Elder Gods' champion. I do this to redeem myself for past evils and maybe one day as a reward be reunited with my wife and child. For many years I have hunted and tracked down Quan Chi, the man who took the lives of my family and clan. While it is true that my clan was a clan of assasssins we did have a sense of honor about us. I invaded Shang Tsung's palace where Quan Chi was said to reside. I was ambushed by two oni. I fought with all the strength I had, but I was overpowered and thrown into the Soulnado. I escaped only to be found by the Elder Gods. I witness the death of Quan Chi at the hands of Raiden who sacrificed himself to stop Onaga, the Dragon King. The Elder Gods' then took notice of me and granted me power and made me into your champion. I now serve the Elder Gods' and help to destroy evil for the good of the realms. I aided Shujinko in his struggle against the Dragon King. As a reward, they have granted me my human soul, thus making me more human. Perhaps some day I will become completely human again? Then I can have what I want... what I need. Raiden, the Thunder God has returned, but he has been influenced by the One Being. The Elder Gods have sent me to aid Liu Kang, Champion of Mortal Kombat and Fujin, God of Wind and their Earthrealm warriors to stop Raiden from bringing about the return of the One Being. But something is following me, something from the past...

Shujinko's death was a necessary step in the protection of our realms. He was responsible for Onaga's return, and whatever he achieved afterwards cannot make up for this. Over time, it has become clear to me that my methods in protecting us all must change. All those who would put our worlds at risk must die, we came too close to losing everything against the Deadly Alliance, and then the Dragon King. The ends justify my means, but sadly, not all of my allies see things in this way. While the former champion of Mortal Kombat Liu Kang, and the Edenian rulerPrincess Kitana joined me immediately, not everyone followed.

Some, like the Lin Quei prefer to sit on the sidelines, claiming they have their own battles. But the worst came from Kung Lao, who has openly defied me, claiming my much needed new methods were wrong, and found other to join with him. He claims he is trying to bring me to my senses, but I have never seen things any clearer than I do now. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and my way is the only way in which we can finally win. I would take no pleasure from the action, but if Kung Lao or anyone else stands between me and protecting the realms, then I will have no choice but to eliminate them as well.

We are at war, with enemies at all sides. And the sooner everybody accepts this and acts accordingly, the better we will be able to overcome our foes. The threat has gotten a lot higher than when this started, and I have no choice now but to fight fire with fire. I can have no patience with those who refuse to do what I tell them to, what is necessary for all our sakes, I have led them to victory before. I can do so again, but we must change, adapt to the new situation in order to come back from the brink of final defeat.
