I think it's simply a consequence of the finite number of character slots. When someone's favorite character makes it into the game, it necessarily means that someone else's favorite doesn't. That inevitably leads to hate for other people's "unworthy" favorites.

Hopefully just story really hope he isn't playable much more better characters and interesting deserve a playable spot over boron old jax

Good, Jax will be a great character and is easily one of the most noticeable and popular of the MK krew. For people still bitching about new characters..not even half of the "24" have been announced. Just an FYI it will be more than 24 on the select screen so there's still up to 5 veterans to be announced, and like 8-10 new characters. I for one can't wait to see Jax's updated appearance and upgraded arms.

Yeah, I hope he's got new slick high tech looking arms...I haven't t really loved their design in the last few games. Can't wait to see his new look!

He looks bald in the ladder statue, I kinda hope he is. Kind of a throwback to his MK Annihilation look, and IMO that was the best actor for Jax live action. Right next to Michael Jai White. With the way things are going, it'll easily be the best Jax has ever looked. MK9 wasn't too bad, but a step up from all his 3D days easily.

Hope they do something with his character though, the gun slinging military Jax was getting old, it's time he becomes more of a brute and the metallic arms are not not overly present.

Of the MK1 -2 characters he seems to be the one they leave out. Him or Reptile and the latter is already confirmed.
