I spotted: - Shinnok / Quan Chi (the one you see from behind facing 5 others who are unrecognisable to me - Chained up guy looks like Shinnok as well - Goro, Raiden & Shang Tsung from left to right - Sonya (left of Baraka), Baraka, Johhny Cage & Liu Kang, Shao Kahn (right before they go to the next screen).
What do you guys think about the statues? The meaning? Liu Kang delivering the blow to Shao Kahn, what does it refer to?
I think they are just statues commemorating the previous Mortal Kombat's Story. Liu Kang uppercutting Shao Kahn happened in the MK2 story chapter from MK9
Did the shots of the statues remind anyone of the opening to the meh-tastic Pompeii film from last year? Ironically from Mortal Kombat director Paul W.S. Anderson
