but isnt scorpion's entire fate dependant on wether he avenges his family or not? either way i agree there needs to be closure to his story. btw if he does pick a side he has to be evil, a spectre/hellspawn just doesn't scream "good guy" to me.

By making him evil, which is how his post-retcon self has been portrayed as, he falls into the trap of taking influence from the media depictions of him. It shouldn't be so black and white as to choosing between good and evil anyway.

Well, he could turn into MK's Frank Castle. That mofo is the ruthless, self-serving vigilante we could make Scorpy into...or Raiden.

Spawn was a badass movie. It would be cool If Scorpion ended up a good guy. There seems to be way to many evil characters on the MK roster. I cant understand how exactly they could make scorpion a good guy tho. I guess if he is trying to kill quan chi, he leans to more of a good character than a bad character. He is family oriented too. He kinda misses them. So he is a softy.

Spawn was a hellspawn under Maleobiga's control, but the guy wanted his humanity.

But the biggest thing was imprision God and Satan in a barren Earth.
Since he imprisioned both of them, he can't necesarily be aligned with Heaven or Hell.

Scorpion is techncally a blind engine of terror in his post-retcon storyline. Though he wants to kill the guy who killed his family and clan, he just does it for revenge, and revenge only.

As for Frank Castle (My example), he is a gun-toting vigilante considered by many to be an enemy to the state even though he kills those who commit crimes.

You are taking this way to far. My point was that spawn was a bad ass. Scorpion is a bad ass. As soon as we find that he gets his sweet revenge, He will finally take a side. Because no one wants to see him gone so he wont disappear. He will finally choose good or evil and I think he is more of a good guy than an evil one. He can still be spawn like. He doesnt have to take the whole spawn story and make it his. Im just saying it would be cool if he was good

For the most part, Scorpion has been a neutral character though some may say that Scorpion could possibly be classified as "evil" in MK4 due to siding with Shinnok and Quan Chi while under the ulterior motive of trying to kill Sub-Zero. Scorpion's post-retcon self is most certainly evil due to influence from the media and other things.
