One of the more important aspects of this game for me personally is the netcode. I don't play games with friends that much in comparison to the people I play online. The netcode for MK9 was terrible and that's putting it mildly. I really hope NRS invests more time in making online play better and by better I am not just talking about the netcode. Other issues should also be addressed such as rage quitting. All you had to do in MK9 was pause the game and just leave at any moment. What are your thoughts and requests regarding this?

I dont think the netcode was TERRIBLE.

I think there should be a detection to see if ppl quit or get disconnected. quitters should have their loss stats heavily punished.

id also like it if the AI automatically took over for the quitter's character(s) so th match doesnt come to an abrupt end. just display a notification letting us no the pansy quit and we decide if we want to continue playing or not.

You work with what you got...not what you hope for.

They should take a page out of Rockstar's book with GTAV. Known cheaters/rage quitters should be lumped together for a period of time and only be allowed to face each other. Length of time dependent on the offense and repeat offended.

Net code has never been a huge issue for me honestly. Granted I wasn't a religious online player for NRS' last two efforts, but I can only count maybe two or three times when lag absolutely killed the match.

Put it this way. When I play MK9, I only stop playing for one reason, Online connection.

Keep in mind, I have 20mbps download and 10mbps upload. Not on my internet bill. On my actual connection tests. Far more than enough for an ideal, fluid online experience.

No matter what. Every single fucking time I go online, I turn off my system in frustration. I feel that this was GREATLY improved in Injustice. I hope MKX can go even further in this direction.

When you have moves like a 12 frame dash and Ermac's BF1, this simply becomes required. You can be hit before you even see the move. That is absolutely unacceptable. When you can't time wake-ups, you are put into full combos where it otherwise would never have happened. Anti-airs are off timing and combo execution goes out the window.

Last night, I couldn't block Mileena's FF3 on reaction.... What a fucking joke. I love MK9 to death but if the netcode doesn't improve, I will be pretty pissed. With MKX being a game of "constant connectivity", the netcode better be high on the priority list.

Had enough shit with netcode. It needs to end right now.

MK9 Netcode is/was pretty bad. Injustice Netcode is/was a bit better. Hopefully MKX will continue to improve.
