There is a slight chance that The One Being from the old time line comes to the new time line, so the old time line wouldn't be entirely forgotten.

Without the past there would be no present. The old canon led to Armageddon, which led to the new canon.

Were some of the changes necessary? Probably not. But it's what we have now. The old canon still exists, it's still real. It's just the past.

Narrator-wise: no, logically: yes. It was a time travel from the narrator view to another universe. The two universes coexist.

That's what I meant. The old canon is still real, because without it, we wouldn't have the new timeline.

And yes, in a parallel universe, Shao Kahn is king lol. But I highly doubt they will ever speak of the old timeline again. They have set their new course, and they are sticking with it, in my opinion.

I too think Armageddon could have been avoided or happen in another way. For instance make the elder gods take part in the end of MKA and wish to destroy most of the realms or characters to save a few, wanting Taven to live only. And maybe Raiden having to make the choice to defend the realms and the beings that inhabit them or help destroy them. That being said, whatever they do from now on, the reboot alone would have sucked even more if there were no plot twists (different way to end the story.) So i'm in for leaving all this past behind. Not talking about the characters in anyway, only their past storylines. This should have went on after Armageddon. I mean with all those characters continue bringing new stories even if the most exploited chars stories started to stand still, have some of them take a break and work on developping new stuff.

I want characters from MK4 and after to come back but with some new storyline and new twists. If they bring back Shinnok and the deadly alliance so be it but a different way to sort this out would be welcome.
