She had boomerangs. She didnt need The naginata

IIRC the naginata was planned as Tanya's weapon in the early stages of Deception before they decided to give it to Hotaru. Naginatajutsu is traditionally a women's fighting style.

Them not using the boomerang was dumb. Seriously, that would've been a great variation.

Eh, with Mournful Kitana having Jade's boomerang it'd feel kind of redundant.

I have a few problems with her having the Naginata. The female ninjas are known for having a defining weapon

Kitana: Fans
Mileena: Sais
Jade: Staff
Skarlet: Kunai
Tanya: Tonfas

Her having two weapons is stupid to me.

And the other reason I dont like it is because I love Hotaru.

Jade has two weapons -- the bo and the cyclone thrower.

I'm sorry about ya boy, but I don't think he's got much of a shot at a return.

And not forgetting Kung Jin also has his chakram which acts like a boomerang too. That's too many boomerang like weapons.

The glaive is like a side weapon tho. Tanya has a side weapon, a boomerang. She did not need two major weapons.

She hasn't had the boomerang since MK4.

She had it in Deception but it was weird. They mention it in her kombat kard

In the kard she also uses the naginata. It's from early in development. Boomerang was cut before the game was finished.
