Oh, believe me, I do mean it. I really do think Kobra could work as the antagonist. The whole point of this idea is that he's nothing, no worthwhile characteristics, no integrity, no charisma, no grace, no brains, yet making it to the top. Frequently happens in real life.
There is nothing wrong with the likes of Shao Kahn, but let's face it, even though he's got his issues, he's got so much presence. His appearance, his personality, his taunts, his moves and fatalities. Expecting me to hate him when he's got all that is ludicrous. Even more ridiculous is denying me the right to play as him, but that's another story.
What does Kobra have that villains like Shao Kahn, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung don't? Other than worthlessness? While I'm certain that for many, his well deserved insignificance is a reason not to make him the final boss, to me, it's precisely what'd make him an effective villain. He has no right to be compared to any of the previous bosses, yet here he is, at the top of the pyramid (that's a figure of speech, for your information). Teach him a lesson, put him in his place.
Mokap is way too entertaining to be paired up with that asshole. I know you meant to be funny, but still.
