Just so we are all clear, Sub zero does NOT have a scar in any official NRS issued MKX render.

If you think otherwise, please reply with visual evidence.

My personal theory is that the "skin" we've seen of him is his first one, used during what the comics refers to as "the netherealm wars", when he and the other deceased heroes are used as Quan Chi's wraiths.

His next skin probably will be the unmasked look with the scar showing the consequences of this kamidogu curse on his face.

Who says that the Sub in the comics is the Sub who is in the game?
In the early official Sub render you dont see a scar...neither in the first CGI trailer...
Maybe I missed something.
I would love to see a new Sub with a new mission...we will see..
But what I do know is that this Sub looks freakin awesome!!!grin

In Mortal Kombat 1, we had the elder Sub-Zero, Bi-Han. He was killed by Scorpion during the tournament. This is also the one who appears in the spinoff prequel game, MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero.

From MKII up until MK Armageddon, the active Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang, Bi-Han's younger brother.

Bi-Han himself was reborn in the netherealm as Noob Saibot (which was revealed in MK Deception, prior to that, Noob had been an original character).

So there have always been two. MK2011's story mode shows Bi-Han's death and resurrection as Noob, and Kuai Liang taking up the mantle before being turned into a cyborg.

& it's about time that the Midway softspots' most precious gem, Kuai Liang takes a seat from sub-zero. Bi-Han maybe as cold as they come, but that bench he's sitting on basically rivals the sun in the temperature spectrum.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Ball's on your court Kuai Liang softspots...

...Are you saying Bi-Han just took a big nasty fart and warmed up a bench?

Goddammit. I was hoping for Bi-Han

Maybe it's Bi-Han's turn to get the cool scar.
