Check out Subby's skin color compared to Scorpion's in the new trailer. Its more faded and grayish. Also the blue eyes indicate Noob Saibot's MK Trilogy portrait. When Saibot got sucked into that soulnado, i'm sure he flew into a body or something because he's a wraith right? So it's not a time travel story, its continuing the story from MK9. Prove me wrong. (protip: you can't).

Honestly, I just think it's Sub-Zero undead.

Considering Quan Chi now has the souls of many of the characters, I'm sure he'll be using them in MKX. I think Sub-Zero is the first example of Quan Chi's new band of minions.

Step it up, man.

I don't know who that's supposed to be, but I'm sure it's got something to do with the "other reality" thing I keep hearing about. Who knows.

No, undead characters' eyes glow white or blue or blue-ish white.
The only other characters who have white eyes are either gods (Raiden, Shinnok, or Fujin,) insanely powerful people (Dragon Medallion Subz or Shang Tsung,) and a few strange outliers (Hotaru or Tanya (MK:D-onward.))
Off the top of my head, the only time they've ever shown an undead character without the glowing blue/white eyes is in Ermac's Deception ending, where neither Jax, Sonya, Kung Lao, Johnny, nor Kitana had them; that was likely an oversight or pure laziness, though.
Edit:
MKfan99 Wrote: Their eyes were Red when they were fighting :)

That's just a gameplay mechanic related to how they designed zombie mode (which has automatically has the mottled, cracked grey skin and red eyes;) they're white in the cutscenes, which are supposed to be canonical.
The only people who have had red eyes are Dark Raiden, Sheeva (MK:A,) Goro, Shao Kahn, Baraka, (sometimes, Quan Chi,) and now Mileena, none of which are considered undead characters.

Mileena's eyes only turned white in Gold because she was undead. (Speaking of which, how did Mileena's eyes turn normal in Deception? Why did Sindel's stay white?)
Edit: To prove my point further, look at the Challenge Tower versus pose for zombies.
They have white eyes.

Sub-Zero's eyes glowed blue for the same reason his hands have been icy and emitted frozen air... it's due to his power.. Their eyes were Red when they were fighting :) Also... Watch Sub-Zeros eyes in his MK9 ending... They are glowing blue..

I don't understand why so many people are making such a huge debate out of Sub-Zero's eyes glowing. This isn't a new thing as Sub-Zero's eyes where pure white and glowing in Mortal Kombat Deception , Mortal Kombat Armageddon and even in a promotion shot of Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.

This seriously isn't something that needs to be dissected and investigated. His eyes aren't glowing because he's fused with Noob and they're probably not glowing because he's undead. They're glowing because he's Sub-Zero and it was an effect given to him for the teaser trailer. Plain and simple. I'm more interested to find out why he's alive and how rather than why his eyes are glowing.

I agree. I think it might just be for his new image for this game. They've glowed before in previous games to reflect on his cryomancer powers. True, one could argue that he had his Dragon Medallion at some of those games which can explain his glowing eyes there but let's be honest, Quan Chi had his tattoos in MK9 when he wasn't supposed to. I think the major take away is that he's a ninja, not a cyborg.
Are those darts(either throwing or gun mount) on his gauntlet, or does he have Wolverine claws now?

My theory is that they said "Oh no, the fans were pretty upset about turning Sub-Zero into a cyborg. Let's use the fact that he's now undead to resurrect him as human!"

You can see that the characters who died in MK9 were resurrected in the Nethrrealm with grayish skin and glowing eyes. Sub-Zero was still in his Cyber form, but I think an easy explanation could be that Quan Chi's sorcery was able to put him back on Earth as a human again, because magic is an easy explanation for anything in the MK universe.

It's not that I don't support the idea of Bi Han being Sub-zero again, it's just that it's a lose-lose situation; it'll be getting rid of Noob, and it won't be getting rid of Cyber Sub-Zero. Then again, maybe it doesn't; maybe that's what this "play as different versions of the same character" thing is for.

No, I completely agree. Cyber Sub DID have fans (I'm looking at you Jaded-Raven), but they were few and far between. It also pissed off a huge fanbase for them. So, getting rid of him would be ideal. Bringing Bi-Han back as Sub-Zero would kill Noob Saibot. Even if they managed to separate the two, it would leave Noob as a lackey similar to Reptile. Noob's character has really evolved in my opinion and he deserves to come back after his showing in MK9. His next step is ruler of the netherrealm.

Bi-Han as Sub-Zero leaves Kuai Liang with hmmm nothing. Vogel has already pretty much admitted death isn't going to keep those characters away. So, we know Kuai will be back. Also, technically guys, Kuai never stopped being Sub-Zero. Just because he was automated doesn't mean he stopped being Sub-Zero. Just because he died doesn't mean he stopped being Sub-Zero (unless that means Kitana stopped being kitana or Kung Lao stopped being Kung Lao).

Me hopes it's Kuai.

I would say YES to this. However, usually the big bad is just a one shot thing and they aren't big anymore or scary. Noob is a well known character now and fleshed out. Part of me says Yes, have him be the boss. However, it doesn't sit well with me at the same time. I LOVE Noob as a character though.

Well, since Sub-Zero died, and his soul was in the NetherRealm, he's no longer a cyborg. It's just the form he would be recognized as most-recent, so people recognize him there. He, if somehow brought back to life (which, we all know is inevitable, as death means as much in Mortal Kombat as it does in Dragon Ball Z), than he will obviously have some way of returning to a human body upon re-entry into the living world.

How can anyone really debate about who's who when we don't have that much other than the trailer and the ending of Mortal Kombat 2011 to go off of?

I mean, at least wait for E3 or something to figure out how Sub-Zero is "alive" in this trailer. That is if this trailer is even supposed to be representing the next part of the story.

I'm cool with just waiting for more info before going too much into details about stuff like this.

He's one of my favorite characters next to Sub. grin
He went from pawn to playa. He was such a badass in MK DA TE(almost killing Goro), Deception(making his own army and almost killing his own brother) and MK9 just because ????

That's my theory, anyways. The brothers have combined into one warrior and we will be able to play as traditional Sub and Noob through alternate characters, costumes etc.

He does say "I tire of maintaining OUR innocence". Also, has anyone noticed Sub has TWO separate symbols on his clothes?

Any thoughts?
