what do you think the future of story mode and games will hold for Stryker and Kabal?

my guess is that they will get their souls back along with all of the other fallen heroes upon Quan Chi and Shinnoks defeat in MK10, I predict Kabal will join the black dragon clan as in the original timeline while I have no idea what they will do with Stryker?!

in challenge tower mission: 233 it was revealed that Stryker is a member of the Special Forces- which is exactly the direction I want to see him heading in, working alongside: Sonya,Jax,Cyrax and Kenshi.

Special Forces main enemy seem to be the Black Dragon clan so it would make an interesting predicament if we saw a showdown between best mates Kabal and Stryker, neither would want to fight but they would have no choice, maybe Stryker could get through to Kabal and bring him back on the good side or would you prefer to see Kabal on the bad side?

I'd like to see more development of the Special Forces, I think they should bring back the SF base arena that was used in MK vs DC and have cameo appearances of the 90's SF comic book characters: Sylence, Lance and Cody Finnigan at work in the background!

would also be awesome if they bought in SF planes like the winged dragons they used in Defenders of the realm.

I know the PS1 spin off game: MK SF with Jax sucked! but that game was clearly rushed- made cheaply and rather thoughtlessly, I honestly believe Special Forces would make a kick-ass game if they actually bothered to make an effort with it, I have loads of ideas on that but will post my detailed ideas on that another day.

so yeah, what would other Stryker/Kabal/Special Forces fans like to see happen next?

I would definitely like to see Stryker come back, I mean what they did with him in the latest game was totally awesome. Made me appreciate the character a heck of a lot more. I'd like to see, if he returns, what they're going to do with him and such, that is if they're going to make him become human rather than just leaving him as an undead soldier

I know! NRS made him such a badass fighter and it was MK9 that made him my favourite so it would be tragic not to see him further developed properly in the future story modes, and if they do want to keep him and the others dead for the next game then they could at least have them as hidden fighters or as a zombie DLC package, glad you agree!

Keep dunking your Kenshi breadsticks into your Skarlet sauce, people! The main course isn't coming for a while, and you never know when it's going to be disappointing.

I think the next game, if anything, will have to deal with Shinnok and how everyone is dead. I really hope we get some of Cyrax regaining his mind, especially with the help of Sonya.

Post-Shinnok, I'd hope to see Stryker join Special Forces (if he's brought back). I have a feeling that we probably won't get much from Special Forces in whatever main Mortal Kombat game happens after MKX. Considering where the popularity is in characters, we may not get an Mortal Kombat game where the Special Forces are in the story front line or a Black Dragon member is the main villain.

I would hope for a spin-off game. Personally, I'd want something multiplayer with multiple characters, but I'll take anything.

I'm sure Kabal will probably join Black Dragon, but I'd much rather prefer him attempt to join Special Forces. I want to see Sonya have trust issues with him while Stryker vouches for him.

I know it would be a long shot or it may be terrible, but, what if Stryker and Kabal were to switch places like Sub-Zero and Smoke did?

Didn't Johnny Cage join the Special Forces?

On Topic:

I would like it if Kabal joined the Special Forces and Stryker was to become a badass Swat/Cop working for Black Dragon undercover?

StrykerKombat's initial thought is pretty cool.

thanks for the reply buddy, it's good that all of the people that I've spoken with and friends agree that Stryker needs more Special Forces development in his future storytelling, in the initial timeline (Deception) it was shown in conquest how Stryker was training to be a seidon guard which I think would simply have alienated him further from the story, he fits in perfectly with the SF team and I can see him, Jax and Sonya kicking ass in future missions!

so long as Earth is endangered -there will be Special Forces to defend their realm! wink

I wouldn't mind having Stryker turn bad for one game but he's better suited on the good side, I wouldn't want burnt face Stryker lol (no disrespect to Kabal) that's what makes Kabal original so I don't like that idea, interesting one though!

I don't believe Johnny was in the Special Forces, not in the games anyway, but he's allies with them all. and yes! I really like your idea of Kabal also joining the Special Forces and Stryker working temporarily undercover in the black dragon clan- very awesome idea! grin

Ya I guess it wouldn't be a good idea...lol.

Ok, I just thought that Cage had joined SF's in one of the games.

Would of been cool if we had got Kabal's human form as a DLC skin in MK2011.
