I wouldn't take those Amazon stream guys referring to Shinnok as the big bad as confirmation he is the final boss AT ALL. They clearly didn't know jack squat about the game beyond what they were seeing in that moment. Anything they said should not be taken as confirmation of anything by a damn site.

They just referred to him as the big bad, because for the one chapter of story mode they played, he was the big bad.

One of them even asked Tyler directly who the final boss was early in the stream, and Tyler did not divulge the answer. So clearly they didn't know.

And I agree with you totally, and you could be totally right. But it's also entirely possible that in between segments, when just shooting the shit, Tyler spilled more beans to them than the public knows and they were making claims based on that info.

But why build Shinnok up like that in the first chapter so heavily to be the main villain if he isn't? The entire intro sequence was built upon his schemes to escape the Netherrealm and how he manipulated events of 1-3. He's GOT to be the main villain. No way he isn't. I can't buy for a second that they built him up like that just to have him last 1 chapter.

We know Shinnok will get out, based on the scene we saw from the making of the launch trailer thing, and he'll probably play a huge role, doesn't necessarily mean he'll end up the big boss though. I hope he doesn't.

I would shit my pants if Shinnok gets out of his amulet and starts talking mad shit to Raiden only to turn around and get knocked the fuck out in slow motion by Reiko holding Kahns war hammer and then falls back into the amulet. Then the finale between Raiden and Reiko to end the game.
