Story Mode death predictions.

Here's who I think will die:

Kano- achievement screenshot shows an angry Kotal Kahn holding a knife to Kano's throat while blood is present on Kano's hands. The shot looks like it could be a QT event.

Ermac- A highly reputed leaker (same guy who leaked the roster) has been alluding to Shang Tsung possibly returning in MK11, powered by all of Ermac's souls including that of Shao Kahn.

Mileena- B!tch is totally out of her mind this time around and toying with powers beyond her reasoning. If any of you all watch anime then you would see this coming from a mile away. Mileena will likely return in MK11 as a zombie.

Kotal Kahn- Ed Boon stated that we'll see the rise and fall of Kotal Kahn in story mode & I don't see Kotal giving up the throne while he still has a breath in his body. My guess- D'vorah does him in since one of the achievement shot shows her holding Shinnok's amulet while smiling in a sinister fashion.

Shinnok- The obvious final boss of MKX, the final boss ALWAYS gets it. There's no other way for his plans to be thwarted than for him to be destroyed once and for all.

Johnny Cage- Sonya, in what I presume to be her alt as seen in the factions selection screen, is wearing a wedding band on her necklace while her primary does not. Likely she's keeping it to remember him by.

and I'm pretty sure we'll see a metric ton of NPCs like Rain, Fujin and Baraka get killed off as well.

Does it really matter at this point? their last chance to make death worth something was in MK9 and they completely threw that potential out of the window, they just don't care, so why should we?

I hope Quan Chi's time to die comes, and I especially hope Shinnok kills him, though I doubt it.

Oh! And one of the parent characters is going to die. I just know it.

I don't think they'll kill anyone off that they already did once in the previous game. Gotta wait for at least MK11 to murder Kitana/Kung Lao etc again.

*sigh*... All of my favorite characters are in this game and looking incredible, but unfortunately, I do think they stand a higher chance of being offed in Story than the remaining cast, judging by the way NRS's writing team likes to roll. Sonya, Johnny, Kano and Mileena might not all be kickin' it smokin' a doobie by the time credits roll...

Personally, I think it would be weak to kill off Sonya or Johnny; the "I'll avenge my fallen parent" motive is one of the, if not the laziest in the world of storytelling. Sheerly overdone and predictable, it would take Cassie from cool and promising to boring in one fell swoop. Her progress and growth as a character should not be dependent on her parents one way or another.

I'm hoping Mileena just gets stripped of power and put out of comission, if need be; imprisoned or something of the like. I highly doubt they'll do that, however. She's crazy, a rebel leader with a much-too-powerful relic; things are looking grim already.



But hey, maybe they just gather the unlikeliest group you didn't see coming, and kill them all, again... and we're all left completely wrong in our assumptions and muttering "What the fuck" to ourselves over and over...

The only characters i'm truly expecting to die are Quan Chi and Raiden. Other than that idk really. Maybe Mileena.

And i could see these characters out of MK11 but maybe Jade will be back!

Meh I really don't think they will let Mileena die given her position as an outcastes underdog during the story.

If anything, maybe imprisoned.

Who will die then? Sonya or cage seems likely. I'm hesitant to mention any newbies being killed off already, however, if one of the four dies and comes back some sort of revenent that wouldn't shock me. Liu kang (if boss) as well.

I will also bet that Reptile will be MKX's jade.

Johnny definetly seems likely, given the fact that Sonya wears a ring in her neck in the Factions trailer, it would be a real shame really, Cassie will just become another carácter looking for revenge. Or Sonya, only god knows.

I think Baraka is going to die in story mode. I think you'll actually be able to perform a fatality on him and that's why his image is seen on the achievements list.

This had crossed my mind also. Seeing that alt with the ring and how she looked older there than she does in the Cage Family trailer made me wonder if Johnny might get 'woman in refrigerator'-ed to motivate Sonya in the final act. It might also be what helps bring Sonya and Cassie together or wedge them further apart. I don't think Sonya's safe, but I think Johnny's in a more precarious position.

Oh who am I kidding, everybody's safe. If Sonya and Johnny die in this one they'll be the first ones announced for MK11. tongue
