Aaaah Kerri Hoskins was my first crush... might have something to do with my obsession.

I have to say, I like her being portrayed as a "blond bombshell". Especially in this franchise, realism can be sacrificed. It's a fantastical universe, let me have a female strong enough to become a Lieutenant in the Special Forces in her twenties, who also looks like she hopped off a catwalk


I didn't mind the MK9 features, it was a huge step up from MKvsDC. She looked just fine. But MKX Sonya has a ton more polish and detail, and yes, much nicer features. Visual progress is to be expected.

I've only ever had a problem with her face in the MKvDCU render.

This. Bridgette Wilson owned the role, so I'm glad to see the team take inspiration for her look. This is the best she's ever looked IMO.

I'm glad this thread came up, because it's good to see some people finally giving NRS some credit and also see who's fucking impossible to please.

Her face is pretty much on point now, the best female face by far in my opinion. That said, i never had a problem with her MK9/MKvsDC one, i liked the strong features on her, which wouldn't fit other characters like Kitana.

I've mentionned this before and I'll mention it again, I don't kare what anyone says, Sonya looked like a baddasss boss in MK9. Yes, even with her vest, several sizes too small for her.

Unlike you guys, I didn't see a stripper whatsoever. I saw a proud, baddass fighter that didn't give a sh*t. Just like Shao Kahn. Point blank, period.

I liked how everyone was the same height in MK vs DC and MK9, I liked how everyone could literally see each other eye to eye, perfectly. But this is just personal preference.

Besides.. if you take a look at Sonya and Kitana's kharakter biographies... you will notice the veteran female kharakters of Mortal Kombat are all supposed to be 5'9" or 5'10", regardless of footwear.

But now... Johnny Cage appears to be kompletely towering over Sonya.... which is not an improvement for Sonya, it's a regression.

The short legs and short heights makes the females in MKX look a bit more like basic people that basically any basic person can cosplay, now. lol
Which is okay, I guess.

To the people komplaining about the new long necks... well I say, it's a great thing they have long necks.... if it weren't for their long necks, the females would appear even shorter. They would all be klones and palette-swaps of Ferra/Torr. lol

Anyways, jokes aside... it's all good, though.
Like I said, this all just boils down to personal preference, it's not an actual problem.

Older Sonya looks good (much better than any previous Sonya in any MK game), but her younger version is 5X better! I love her younger look. She looks beautiful and very feminine, which Sonya has lacked in most MK games.

Although, I agree with Leo that Sonya's short legs make her look a bit off since Sonya is known for her KickAss leg grabs/attacks. Her legs don't look as powerful in MKX, but maybe they will make her a bit taller, or we will just get used to her shorter legs.

Overall, Sonya Blade looks better than ever in MKX and I cannot wait to see more from her.

Looks better than either version of Sonya in MKX. Is Kitana the most beautiful woman in Mortal Kombat? Most likely, she's supposed to be that, but she's never looked great since they started using 3D models.

And yes Sonya, and Kitana and Cassie all look odd, especially Kitana and Sonya since they were way taller in MK9, they look like midgets now, i blame the lack of high heels.

So I'm not the only one bothered by the lack of stature in the females! Such short legs! I thought they were gonna touch that up by the final build, but it's looking very unlikely, given that the epidemic was ever-present in Sonya's reveal. Lawd, I hope they do a quick "click-and-drag" on them legs by April.

Is this Sonya's best look in any MK game? In my opinion YES!

*Question: How does Sonya's face look in gameplay? I haven't had the chance to analyze her gameplay facial look. Of course she looks great in the cutscenes, but everyone looks good on cutscenes. I'm sure she still looks pretty good but I'm just curious to see the difference.

Yes man the ladies look shorter in MKX. Although, I don't think it's a big deal for most of the females because having long legs is irrelevant to their abilities, except of course for Sonya Blade.

Even so, I think that if NRS ends up not fixing this, we will all get used to it and Sonya's legs won't bother us eventually.

Sonya was looking extremely unlikely to be in MKX with the inclusion of Cassandra Cage, so be glad that Mrs. Blade made it in and is looking better than ever!

I was bothered at first but I just looked up some modern photos of Brigette Wilson and yeah, she's looking damn good these days so, I'll give them a pass


I actually really liked her DA appearance, and liked that she looked in her thirties but the MKX Sonya is more like her classic appearance so yeah it works


Maybe Sonya will be my main for the first time
