LOL just when Kitana started to actually look good, Sonya arrives to blow her outta of the water again.

Who's the voice actress? I really liked Dana Lyn Baron but whoever this is also sounds great. Very mature and a very tough. I love how she looks, though she doesn't look as old as she did with the beret so perhaps that third costume is her later years? Her moves look awesome. Leg Grab looks nice and fast, akin to MK1/3/4. Her Ring Toss also looks like it's been adjusted. It looks like it takes up a lot of the screen as it moves across, I wonder how big or small the hit box on it is or if that's an enhanced version. Love the grapples, the backflips and reversals. Sonya uses her garrote in her moves and X-Ray and I'm all for it. I can't wait to see her fatalities and her intros.

Sonya's back. I already was 99% sure she was coming back but it's a whole different story seeing her actual gameplay. And she looks mighty important in the storyline. I just can't wait to see more.

And Sonya, Cassie and Johnny all look and play differently. Shocker.

Her model may have been updated since the leak of that Factions pic. It definitely was updated from the leaked Story Mode screenshot (along with Johnny's face, as well). Or maybe I'm just pulling theories out of the atmosphere because I don't know if I can handle a Sonya that looks too old, and I think they portrayed her aged version perfectly in that Story Trailer, and should stop there Don't judge me, but it's very important to me that she remain bangin'.

Good points on the specials. I'm thinking the Leg Grab will be a lot more useful this time around. Its advantage in MK9 was mostly limited to higher damage than normal specials to be used in combos, but it still lost to Military Stance grab in that regard.

Waste of a slot IMO, she should have been only in story mode cut scenes.

I'm with you, I honestly thought Johnny/Sonya/Jax should not be in MKX because we already have too much MK9 Returning characters and we have their off springs in the game.

But when the cage family trailer dropped and both Johnny and Sonya were confirmed, I didn't really get angry. Because I'm happy for her fans. I know there are a lot of people out there that like her and she was a great Rushdown character in MK9 which is how I like to play.

Point is, Don't call a character that has already been confirmed, A waste of spot. Just like you want Subby to be in MK, they want Sonya in, and they got her. Just be happy for them. :).

I've always seen Sonya as our Chun-Li. MK's First Lady. So while I'm not a fan of hers, I'm always glad to see her.

This. I have nothing but respect for Sonya Blade.

Sonya is the Chun Li of Mortal Kombat and one of Ed Boon's favorites, it was quite obvious she would be in this, hell she almost got her own spin off, a shame John Tobias left and instead we got the abomination that is Special Forces.

Me myself and I love Sonya. Always win with her and try to master her.
