The last three fighting games we have had.....aka MKDA MKD and MKA all have had dragons of different color on the disk, depending on what it is. Do you think that we'll get something new this time?

Nah. They're starting fresh, so they might not even have the dragon logo! They might have Santa on the cover! Who knows?
But seriousley, they probably won't ahve the dragon

Nahh.
They will NEVER drop the dragon logo. It has been the MK logo for years, and in my opinion, it's the best video game logo ever.

Indeed.Anyways if you're tired of the dragon logo so much why didn't you get MK:A premium Edition?

The MK dragon is a staple of MK so it will never be dropped.

However the disks before MK5, which are MK4 and MK3 and UMK3 did not have dragon imprints on them. The trend only started in MKDA.

I would like to see them try and "evolve" it a bit, as they were trying to do with MK5 (You can see the ideas in the krypt).

It would be a huge mistake to get rid of the Dragon logo, IMO.

True. I'd like to see something new using the dragon (a coffin, maybe?).I would like to see them try and "evolve" it a bit, as they were trying to do with MK5 (You can see the ideas in the krypt).

They are starting fresh, and thats exaclty why they need to keep The Dragon. You know, to kinda keep a link to the past. I've always loved the dragon logo. It's the symbol of Mortal Kombat (the ingame tournament not the actualy game itself)

The mortal kombat dragon helped mold a mystique around mortal kombat. And the logo is just such a special part of mortal kombat it's almost like it wouldn't be mortal kombat without it. But I for one would like it to keep the dragon logo on the next disc because what else are they going to put on it...Mokap?

The dragon logo is absolutely essential. It has been MK's trademark since it started years ago. Branding plays an important part as it symbolises and connects the MK franchise to us. So, I'm quite sure the logo will appear on the casing and/or the disk for future MK games.

you stole the words right out of my mouth...
but no, they won't ditch the dragon. its like saying that if the creators of Sonic wanted to refresh the entire series (WHICH THEY SHOULD) its like saying that they;re going to get rid of the chaos emeralds he collects..
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
i'm guessing that was a very bad way to get my point across... not my fault im too tired to think about something... damnit

if what boon said was correct about the game being serious and (dirty) then i think they should evolve it like they did for the second film because that was a cool dragon logo they should maybe have something like that for the new game.

1. He just meant on the physical disc.
2. Stop bumping old threads.
3. The discs should totally have Baraka kicking a baby instead.
4. No, really, what's with bumping all the old shit?
