My main gripe comes not from gaming specifically but society as a whole. Women shouldn't be objectified but there is absolutely nothing wrong with feminine sexuality. This past year alone has been ridiculous with people raging over Spider-Woman's outfit that she's had for 35 years, female characters in assorted video games, the Joker/Batgirl comic cover, etc...

Yep people are way too sensitive about that shit now. That Joker/Batgirl cover was fine, I still to this day don't get what the big deal was about that.

As to the "toned down" look for MKX with female characters, if NRS legitimately wanted to go in this direction without input from feminists or the PC crowd I'm cool with it. I can understand how some thought the female characters in MK9 looked like they wore one stripper outfit after another, but really? Is that the most outrageous thing about MK? This series is all about pushing the envelope, specifically towards crazy death scenes and violence...and how someone or a group of people dress causes controversy and outrage? Just don't buy the game if it hurts your soft sensibilities.

Even if NRS decides that in all future games, the female fighters will be toned down to the point where the only skin showed is their face and hands, I'm fine with it as long as the uniform designs look good and not like a something from the repressive hardline muslim countries where females are completely covered head to toe. That's the opposite extreme from the stripper-like outfits suggested of MK9.

Having said all that...Sareena was the most sexiest looking of all in MKX, although her face and hairstyle looked very similar to Tanya's in the storymode.

I agree, if I knew for a fact that NRS created the females in their own artistic direction, then I'd accept their designs. But this is so obviously an act of cowardice...fearing the all Mighty hand of the SJWs as seen throughout the west. Like that Spider-Woman controversy... such bullshit.
