I think the following characters will have chapters: Raiden, Scorpion and Sub Zero will obviously have chapters since they are the faces of the game.

Takeda, Kung Jin ,Cassie and Jackie as well since they got their own trailer and at least one part of the story seems focused on them.

Kotal Kahn will probabily have one as well so that we can see him overtrow Mileena.

Sonya and Kenshi as well since the story will not only be set in those two time periods we saw, besides in the trailer we saw Sonya going against Quan Chi, I would event bet her chapter will be right after Cage's.

Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, D'vorah, Ferra, and Kano will probabily be punching bags again

I agree with residentfan on his assumptions, all that makes perfect sense. Wish we'd get a Mileena chapter, though. She deserves to shine after her portrayal in MK9.



That's confusing me... She does go against Quan Chi, in her younger version... but I've read a breakdown of Chapter 1 and it ends with a pretty strong tone of finality. It immediately made me feel that Chapter 2 will jump in time. And if not, it'll be pretty surprising to see her get up from getting knocked out by Shinnok and immediately be strong enough to defeat Quan. I don't know where to fit that scene...

One of the advantages to Kotal and his crew being 'neutral' is that many of them, if not all, will get their own story chapters I think.

Also Scorpion starts off as a 'villain' in the Netherrealm war, as does Subby but I am sure they will both get a chapter later on in story mode.


I think at least half the roster will have their own chapters.

It would be great if small bonus chapters were unlocked for the less prominent characters after the main storyline, along some of the antagonist.

I would love that but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I think, realistically speaking, what we get at launch is everything we will get as far as story mode.

It could be an off screen battle, or it could be during one part in which the story goes back time. We also have to see how Kenshi saves Hanzo from Scorpion, in the comics they said it was during the Netherrealm War, yet there is nothing in the description of the chapter 1 an user posted yesterday.

Mileena isn't the only one, I would love to see Kano, Sindel, Sheeva, Baraka, Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung all get chapters...

It's easier to just list the ones that won't get a chapter, since I'd guess 16-18 of them will get a chapter.

i just hope they actually let evil characters have their own chapters.

hopefully now that Reptile is with Kotal he'll get a chapter. at least he actually has a voice now.

Kotal seems likely since he's not as evil as we think and someone has to be around for the scenes where he is fighting Team Mileena. Hopefully someone not Cassie or Raiden can get the final chapter.

All of the good guys probably, and Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

I hope we get some other people though, I think some people from Kotal's team might get a chapter or two.

Villains need to have more chapters. That's one thing I didn't like about the MK9 storyline, too focused on the heroes. Come to think of it, were there any villain chapters in MK9??

To be honest, Reptile feels less like a villain this game.

I'm almost imagining that it'll set us up with Raiden being the usual final chapter.. then all of a sudden Liu Kang appears and is the last playable character.
