Well, i don't think they will be split for that much because, as some people saw, Sonya in the Faction War image has the ring and the Beret, in the leaked Screenshot has the ring too, tho she isn't wearing a hat or the beret, the trailer video might only show the "drama" parts (also not to mention it might be scenes from the prequel comic where they split) so people can be interested to see what it's going to be all the story, the way they interact to each other is most likely to be back together, they argue a lot with each other, because their personality is very different, and he acts waaay too cocky, and she's waaay too serious.

The Divorce kinda bummed me out honestly, thought i'd see something pretty nice coming from them, but i still have a feeling they will be back together.
He saved her a lot of times, saved her from getting killed badly by Shinnok, he throws jokes around but he always respected her. I don't see Sonya wasting that for that much time, even they have a daughter and they were freaking married c'mon. Obviously there's something between them there yet!

Johnny and Sonya are gonna keep having this push-and-pull thing. NRS isn't gonna wanna let go of that dynamic anytime soon, which was one of the highlights of MK9 Story even for people who aren't full-fledged fans of theirs.
