I rarely touch him, and I think I played 1 person online who has used him. That doesn't really say much in general, but that's my experience so far lol

Hes really fun to use, and dangerous in the right hands. People are sleeping on him imo

I don't really play as him but I like his moveset. He's a beast. I haven't seen anyone online using him but I haven't seen any Cassie, Sonya, Kenshi or Quan Chi so the point is moot.

I have 25 wins as him online he is very powerful

For me, Goro is a TOP5 character in this game. Thanks to him, I managed to win 10 wins in KOTH Survivor in order to unlock a JC skin. I started with the Dragon Fangs variation, but now I'm in love with the Kuatan Warrior one. Man, these ground pounds REALLY annoy people online.

His inclusion in the game, IMO, is completely pointless - he was merely cashgrab pre-order bait. It's nice that Goro is playable in the game but to use up a roster slot for a character that you have to buy (in other words, Disc Locked Content) when it could have been better used for a NPC that appeared in Story mode just rubs me the wrong way.

I defended NRS at first, when everyone bitched and moaned about Goro being a day 1 dlc pre-order bonus, but as time went on, the fact that Goro was disc-locked content, taking up a regular roster set, really pissed me off.

That said - he's a powerhouse and can be insanely fucking cheap. In fact, this Goro invasion boss has turned me off to ever doing an invasion boss again. Done.

He's one of my favourites in MKX actually, but I do agree that he's pretty pointless overall. He doesn't really add anything.

He's still more interesting than Jacqui and at least two of Kotal's variations.

He pretty much was Boon's way of making up for him and the other bosses not being playable in MK9. But meh useless.

The only people I have seen use Goro online are noobs who abuse the teleport and the ground pound. Cannon fodder. I have checked his usage stats and although he is in the bottom half, he is still more used than five or six characters.

Some people just don't want to play as him to not beat people so easily because He is another Ermac, TaKeda, and Kung Jin that are too over powered. They just want to play as someone that won't get too many people complaining about using overpowered characters. That is just my opinion guys.

I'm pretty sure if there were characters where you could beat someone easily then everyone would be playing as them. Everyone online flocks to the easiest way to beat people.

The only people who allow to be abused by Goro's teleport and his ground pounds are the real pathetic noobs. It's your problem that you don't know how to play against people who know how to use a character.

People do seem rather quick to cry OP now, I even see people say Jason is OP which is just crazy. He has some decent damage output but nowhere near OP, just block low and punish and you will be good lol

I seriously hope they don't mess with his Slasher variation though, it has pretty much become my main and I have already spent a lot of time with it, if they screwed with him it would feel like huge waste of time lol

Yea he is. He's boring.. Tired.. Over done.. There has been nothing interesting about him sinc mk4. They should have put effort into something unexpected.

Would much have rather seen Kintaro, Motaro, or someone new. He wasn't in story mode and adds NOTHING to the game.

LOL. You have no idea what you are talking about. It is not my problem at all since I always beat them. I have never lost to a Goro player. All of the ones I have played against only spammed the teleport and the ground pound leading to them taking 30% damage combo with no lag.

Kintaro, and Motaro are kind of boring too imo. But Kintaro was interesting in MK 9

He's one of my mains and quickly becoming my secondary. I love that not many people use him. I play tigrar the most because it has sexy traps that are plus on block and low fireball oki. People (especially online) are insanely impatient in this game, they wanna pressure pressure pressure all day long and meter burn punch walk with its two hits of armor after a regular punch walk fucks up everybody. Currently I think he is higher on the tier list than my other character Reptile. Only problem i have with Goro is he can be easy to zone out and his long reaching normal's are slow as fuck and his quick strings have T-rex arm range and sometimes wiff on hit which can be frustrating. His low pokes are Godlike tho. I predict a Goro main to eventually make a top 8 in the future and people will stop sleeping on him. He's good against rush down characters because of the armor on punch walk and surprisingly decent zoning. He reminds me of Grundy in that aspect, you couldn't really rush him down.

Story wise I wish he was included and don't understand why he wasn't since the events in the comic seem to be non cannon. All I get is his arcade ending which sucks because the arcade endings in this game were all written by coked out chimpanzee's aka the writing staff at NRS. I feel bad for those apes, not sure if they'll ever be returned to the jungle or what. But I digress. When I eventually go to tourney's i will use Goro, he's a fuckin boss and always will be.

Before Witcher 3 came out I was on my way to maining him and will likely pick up where I left off in time.

I think he is still interesting...

At least he's not Scorpion.
