Well, sadly to say, Midway is going to start all over with this game. Which means it's highly doubtful that the story will start again right after Deception. They want to wash it away and start over with a clean slate.

It's a good idea where to start over again, but frankly, they said that they're going to start all over and this idea might not happen.

Now I know what you mean by start over, but what EXACTLY do you mean? (I hope you can understand that lol) Are they starting over like nothing happened, or starting over like this is a fresh new fighting series....

I want them to wrap up armageddon.

I would love to see, if Midway decides to somehow "change their minds: about cleaning the entire game up to a new slate, if they did something with Armageddon and their "endings." It would be cool to see if Sub-Zero really did turn into a God and stuff like that.

Would be truly amazing to see where MK would go after a game like Aramgeddon, but yet, nothing has been really said about what the next game would be like. Though I'm not going to stick by this side all the time as we all know that surprises will come to us just like that.

I mean, MK vs DC was a shocker, might be another shocker for the next game.

It'd be excellent if they'd clean up the MKA mess. Any mess for that matter, and stop "wiping the slate completely clean, except for a couple of things that happened before they wiped the slate clean, and made another mess that's partially explained in a side game, that made the part they went back and got non-canon and now, the new part is only "just for fun" but only canon to the point of the retconned canon......

Yeah but there are still questions left unanswered, but i guess since they took it this far, it's too late 2 go back.

MK vs. DC isn't canon, so they won't be picking up after that. I doubt they'll ignore Armageddon because things did happen during that game.

I suspect, since they're looking to do a new generation of the storyline, MK9 will take place a certain amount of years after Armageddon.

they need to start killing off characters for GOOD. Red Dragon vs Lin Kuei.....
New Black Dragon, We know whos dead after deception, they need to keep it like that and create new characters... Kano is dead don't bring him back, Mileena is dead, kobra is dead, hotaru is dead, bring some new guys in.....

Just because they die in endings doesn't officialy declare that they're dead. Why would you want Hotaru to remain dead? I agree with whoever said that he needs to return in a next game becaus he has potential of being a great character if given the chance.

I mean they killed off Johnny Cage for a a few games... for obvious reasons, but he still came back. (When capture motion only needed one person now and days) But still, who really dies in Mortal Kombat for good?

That should have happened to Kang, but yet, he's somewhat the "hero" of this game.

I know what you mean, but i think that's a solution to producing new characters or developing characters like kai or drahmin... if they can do it to sheeva, they can do it to the rest lol
