Sindel Costume

Ok, I've been saying in some posts that Sindel is out because she looks like her MK9 costume but... after further inspection, she doesn't!

Her MK9 costume showed more flesh in the arms and the neck and had less straps around the chest (much less).

In fact her costume in the video looks like a merge of her MK9 main and alt. Not saying this confirms her or anything, but wanted to apologize for contributing to the mislead of Sindel looking like MK9 when she isn't. Reptile also looks similar but not exactly like his MK9 alt for example and he's in, so anything is possible I guess.

Sindel is one of my favs (second fav female after Sareena) so at least I'm happy I was wrong about her being 100% deconfirmed when I though she was exactly like the MK9 version.
She's about as confirmed as Baraka and Rain.

So we'll see.

She's made up completely of assets from the last game. Unless she's in the second round of DLC she won't be playable. She is however too powerful and important to go without mention or cameo so who knows what's in store for her on the future.

I agree with you totally ! Thanks for the further research I thought that it is quite different from MK9 but wasn't sure at first and Kitana looked different just like her own mother Queen Sindel and she IS in the game !furious

It looks the same.......there are minor changes but it is exactly the same.

It's not a new model though. They've dressed up the textures but the model is ripped right out of MK9. God knows I would die to have Sindel playable in this game but I know an NPC when I see one. I could mod Sindel in MK9 to look just like this.

Rain on the other hand has a whole new 3d model. That's what makes me think he is playable. I'm completely meh about Rain but a new model and a new design screams playable. Sindel's old model and redid textures screams NPC.

I wasn't expecting Sindel to be playable anyway - I just hope they don't punish her in the narrative for the massacre in MK9. Sindel's got the shittiest luck of any character in the series. The queen needs to catch a break.

The only update to her was the textures and the chain-mail on her arms.

Other than that, it was still the same bleh design from the last game. Really how did they forget to give her her black lips. She looks so bland without that asset.

Nah, Li Mei's MK9 model was very low poly, only meant to be seen from a distance. They wouldn't have been able to use that. She'd need to be rebuilt.

You would think if she was back in the game they'd have touched up her hair for a New-Gen appearance because you can still see some of those noticeable angles that her hair in MK9 has.

Playable or not I'm wondering if it's Shang-del The Curbstomper or just the regular Banshee Queen.

If you check out the freeze frames of Sindel, you can see these changes to her costume compared to MK9:

Black gloves
Boots complelety cover thighs (formerly had openings)
Mesh fabric on upper part of arms
Straps on corset run diagonal instead of straight
Neck brace covers entire neck
Different underwear
Possibly different silver bracelets

In other words nothing too major, but not the same costume either.

All I want to say that The Queen Sindel has a major part in Mk Universe that no one can DENY ! Moreover, her moveset FITS quite well to the variation system... One last thing I want to add ; Queen Sindel is the strongest female in the MK Realm and even the creator ED himself approves The Queen's prominent and precious power ! furious
