the female counterparts havn't fared well in the past. sheeva has her fans, while frost is mostly loathed, but once again, has a cult following. if scorpion doesn't get a reboot, then why even bother putting a female clone in his place...or for that matter, with him? can't you just see where a female scorpion would lead.....that's right, she would turn out to be his wife, and i just don't think the mk storyline needs anymore bullets to the face.

I don't ever see a reason for a female Scorpion. Ever.

They'd have to do more stuff with Scorpion himself before even thinking about introducing a new counterpart to him. And his storyline has basically been the same for years, so I don't see that happening for a while. I wouldn't want it to happen anyway.

I think there should be a female Scorpion. Seeing a spear coming out of a yellow woman is hot! and dangerous.

First of all, Frost Rulez!

Now the idea of a female Scorpion is interesting but not very practical IMO. Khameleon and Frost were acceptable because their existence made sense as they were from the same race as their male counterparts. Hence their similarities were acceptable.

What reason could they give for a female Scorpion to exist? Also to have a harpoon and Flaming skull as well, would be a bit too much.

Unless... Some unknown force creates a huntress of equal power to hunt down Scorpion. Maybe another specter who is promised freedom from the netherealm if she takes out Scorpion?

There shouldn't be a female Scorpion. As for characters like Frost or Sheeva whether you love them or hate them, for the most part they worked well with their male counterparts in terms of story. Their story (like Frost's) enabled them to be a plausable character. And with that I don't see a plausable story to introduce a female Scorpion.

all right, to begin with, i am a frost fan, so that's getting out of my system.

now, putting in a female scorpion will not make sense in two reasons :because there are many characters already that resemble a similarity with other characters in the mk roaster, and secondly it just won't look right at all.

you have two female characters that already share similar moves towards other male charcters. you already have frost, khameleon, movado, kira and shinnok. and ill descibe those:

Frost - obviously she's based off of sub-zero

khameleon - obviously she's base off of reptile and fans demanded to see a female chemeleon when they first saw him in trilogy.

kira - based off of kano and sonya which was the biggest mistake ever

movado - biggest rip off of kabal even though he doesn't look like him... but his whole story shares a lot with kabal

shinnok - shang tsung's rip off

we don't need more characters to be created by stealing moves/looks/story off of the other existing characters in the mk frenchise.

secondly, it just wouldn't look right. im sorry, but females with skulls for heads do not look right at all. while creating something like this in mka i was not pleased at all on how she looked. therefore with girls with skulls for a head will never look right at all. i know that females can play the role as a demon perfectly, but in this case i don't see that. i just cannot picture another scorpion-like charcter as a female.

Yeah to be honest it would be an insult to Tanya.

I used to think having Quan Chi turn Scorpion's wife into a spectre to use against him could've been an interesting character...provided though she neither looked nor played anything like Scorpion himself.

I've gotten over that. Scorpion seriously needs to move away from the constant bitching about his family/clan and bringing back his wife (or son or the Shirari Ryu) would just be yet another step backwards.

Furthermore, I think in the next generation games they should have a more streamlined plot and cast. And I think creating more female or any other alternate versions of existing characters is just wasting space.

To make her work she'd at least have to be as "bad ass" as Scorpion. Which essentially equals that she'd be his opposite, or enemy somehow.....which, as far as his story goes seems pretty boring and repetitive for Scorpion now.

To add, I don't like Tanya either, and people inferring that she was the female Scorpion did nothing but add more to the "sour" for me.

No additions to the ninjas are needed either. I'd much rather they replace Scorpion with some totally different member of the Shirari Ryu

And Ashrah's a demon. Human + Demon = No. Ashrah would just as easily kill Scorpy as much as she would feel for the guy.

i know it doesnt make sense, my idea was to have his wife be entirely different from him rather than gender swapping(wow this sounds dirty!) with entirely different moves but as other people said you're best bet is to leave his family out of it.

Not to mention his family doesnt seem to be from the netherealm, but seems like they went to a happier place.
