I was looking at character renders from MK:SM and started to think how cool it'd be if they re-made the original games using these models. I'd keep the different fighting styles for characters but I'd also try to keep it like the originals also. No alternate costumes for 1-3, no weapons for 1-3, no multiple Fatalities for 1. They could put 2 games on 1 disc and sell them like that. Would anybody like it or am I stupid?

No, they should be left as they are. They're classic and shouldn't be tampered with imo.

Advancement is the key factor and that is what the future MK games need to be about. MK7 will hopefully be that next step in advancement.

Hmm. Actually, I kinda like that idea. I don't mind if they were to update the classics as long as they were to do it well. Besides, I own all the classics for the home consoles anyway, so remaking them for my next-gen stuff would be kinda funnerz.

I wouldnt mind a game like "Mortal Kombat Chronicles" which would be a 1 on 1 fighter, but would have a story theme to it, and tell the absolute Cannon story from 1 to 4. Maybe even have a "Movie" mode once you unlock all the story segments. Of course, you would also have 'What Ifs' but they would be excluded from the combined story (as they wouldnt make sense.)

I have tossed the idea around a few times and think that they should make a remake of MK 1 - MK 3... and maybe have it so that you progress through the game and the story will unfold from MK 1 to MK 3.

Start with the seven original characters and as you beat the game with one character you unlock a character and level from MK 2, and then from MK 2 to MK 3. Also as you progress, the original characters will have the upgraded costumes too (maybe used as alternates.. but what ever game time frame you are in at the time will be the costume that is default.

Also you would have Goro and Shang Tsung the end bosses until you beat the game with ALL of the MK 1 characters before you get Kintaro and Shao Kahn... and then after you beat the game with ALL the MK 2 characters you get Kintaro as an end boss.

Of course you will be able to have the option after you beat the game up to (not after) MK 3 to change who the actual bosses are (or even more so, what game you are playing... like all MK 1 arenas and the bosses... MK 2, MK 3, or a combination of all of them).

Also i would like to see the verses screen come back... i know its not the most pivital part of a fighting game, but i like the face off of the fighters. It would be neat to select the fighters and then have an animated VS screen, kinda like the bio screens from MK 1 only they kinda face each other at the end of the animation.

Also give the characters video endings... but they don't even need to be FMV CG animation... just the in game graphics with smooth animation.

Of course the game will be in 3D... kinda like a MKT aniversary edition... Just kinda a fun game that MK fans will go nuts with, without making the originals to shame.

I like the idea of characters having multiple fighting styles, but i wanna see weapons too. weapons are fun.

Last but not least.... unlockable fatalities. When you start the game with MK 1 you have the original fatalities... as you progress you get the ones from MK 2 and MK 3 (including the variations... like sonya would have 2 kiss of death fatalities.. .the original and then the MK 3 version). Yes, some characters will end up having more then others... but i don't really care too much about that... it would show the eliteness of the characters like Sub-Zero and Liu Kang.

thanks for reading... Coma
