I'd rather he didn't honestly.

While I do think he had a likable personality and decent backstory, I have no interest whatsoever in seeing him continue as a major character. I don't want him as the "main hero." I don't want him as the central Edenian protagonist. I've no interest in his future prospects. I also wasn't big on playing as him either.

I've no use for Taven.

I found Taven rather boring, so no. Nice approach for the Roman/ Greek look but Taven came out to be bad. Daegon is better, but I wouldn't want him to be in MK8 either.

taven, to me, was horribly boring. nothing about him really stands out for any reason. I consider him to be nothing more than a bi-product of a bad story idea(which would be armageddon's story as a whole).

Shujinko had more personality anyway. I like that we got to grow up with him in MKD. Taven and Daegon were the ones that were more "forced" on us in my opinion.

I'd rather play with Pai Mei than Ben Affleck in MK anyway.

No, I hated the whole "Some woman saw that warriors participating in Mortal Kombat would become too powerful so the God of Edenia decided that Mortal Kombat would become a test for two demi god brothers" storyline of Armageddon.

I mean I really hated it. Taven was an argumentative, nigh on un-likeable arsehole and Daegon was just so dang evil for no real reason.

So, your parents sealed you away and used you and put you in direct competition with your brother, so you went berserk, killed your parents and formed the Red Dragon. BOO HOO DAEGON. Oh Noes!

I kinda liked the guy. Maybe he shouldn't be the main hero, but at least give him something useful to do in the story.

Well I think ben Affleck was a good choice and he could pretty well be a decent sideliner. Afterall, someone has to manage stuff right now, and usually protagonists are not fitting into that role, unless it is a bussiness movie.

Why do people hate him so much? I think he's badarse TBH. Sure he ain't no MAIN character in the respects to better characters. But he certainly isn't a JOKE character neither. His brother and Him on a mission. At one time allies, then turned foes due to pre-mature birth. Imo, thats a decent story. If at all Canon.

I have been the biggest TAVEN fan since the start. People told me, you havn't played as him, how will you know if you like him. I believe in what i know, and i wasn't the least bit disappointed. He look's like me, and his weapon has my REAL name. I love his character. Taven should last at least be in another game, if shujinko was in MKA. Granted again, MKA was a ender. At least Shujinko was in 2 Games to his credit.

P.S. Taven is a damn fine Dresser.

Sektor & Cyrax shouldn't return either. Cyborgs are to 90's. Plus there's only one true Predator. And much better looking might i add.

No to Taven. He was essential to the plot and therefor was required to play with him, if I had a choice I doubt I would have played as him voluntarily.
