Should Tanya use her boomerang or Kobu Jutsu for MK10

The name "Zaterra"'s first in-canon mention was Deadly Alliance. It appeared in the Defenders of the Realm cartoon well before that, but it wasn't the Raptor homeworld in the show, it was just some ancient graveyard realm Quan Chi was hiding out in. I imagine Vogel saw the show and just borrowed the name.
You're right about the Raptors originally being from Earthrealm and fleeing to another world from the war between Raiden and Shinnok, though. That was established in Mythologies/MK4.
Reptile says in his MK4 ending "I wish to return in time to my homeworld before it was destroyed by Shao Kahn", so the Raptors at least were always from a separate world that Kahn attacked, not Edenia.

Either the tonfa blades or none. I hated that boomerang. Such an unfitting weapon for her...

@blacksaibot: Unless the new timeline has retconned/radically changed other shit besides Mileena's origin and over 50% of the game's roster being at the first tournament, Taven would still be asleep in his little rock thing waiting for the signal from Blaze, who at this point would still be stuck guarding baby Onaga. 'Course, they could always have Daegon take part since he's chummy with Shinnok. Then again, Taven is the "good heroic" brother and they're the evil douchebag brothers......

Tanya was last seen chained in Kahn's Coliseum, so she may well have been freed after Kahn's demise and smashed the realm-binding-orb herself, then being in a position of power in Edenia to betray it later by offering it up to Shinnok in exchange for keeping her treacherous life. We're most likely going to see none of this and have to 'fill in the blanks' ourselves. As for the Kobu-jutsu vs boomerang, well, kobu-jutsu was a necessity in games where almost all characters had weapon styles. Boomerang was an original idea and can definitely be implemented as one of several game mechanics
