^ And getting rid of half of the roster or more would sure make it way better in terms of fighting.

Sequel..Im still waiting for the "wiping the slate clean",killing almost the entire cast and bring fresh blood to the MK Universe, the question is,will it happen??,no,not with all the whiney crybaby fanboys that will doom NRS for killing there favorite fighter, sad but true, these "hardcore fans" are the ones that keep the gears rolling because they buy any crap with the MK logo glued on it,they dont give shit about MK as a fighting game.

This post makes zero sense, most FIGHTING games keep their same roster, with minor changes like adding new characters. Fighting games don't make it a goal to wipe the slate clean, you can refer to Street Fighter, DOA, Blazblue, and Tekken as examples.

What makes a good fighting game is unique gameplay, balance, depth, and accessibiltiy, NOT how many new characters they can squeeze into the game.

I agree with Espio on this one. Just look at Soul Calibur V, it has caught backlash because of the roster missing peoples favorite characters.

'i want them to do something completely different. They already pretty much made the ultimate MK game with MK9. Well maybe they didn't write the best story, but as far as characters, stages, and overall tone goes, this was at the top of the list. Now I think I want something different; maybe an Alternate Universe Mortal Kombat. Maybe a real reboot. Okay, maybe some people don't want a reboot since this was sort of a reboot in and of itself.

I'd like to see something that's not so gritty and realistic as MK Rebirth, yet not so campy and far-fetched as MK Legacy or the first two MK movies. Of course, I'm talking about the tone and story, not gameplay since movies have no gameplay.

But I guess I'm not too sure. Surprise me, NRS.

If it was a prequel then how about MK Origins, kind of like wolverines story.

Heres a list of mk characters who the game should be bases on

Raiden- The game can focus on how he became earths protector and how he got in a conflict with shao kahn or shinnok

One Being- Conflict with the elder gods, and how onaga ruled outworld before kahn

Reptile- How his realm was invaded

Great Kung Lao- How he competed in the 9th tournement

Shokans vs. Centaurs

Quan Chi

I'd wait before exploring deeper into the origins of those ^ characters we see almost in every game and give the spot to the MK4-MKD roster this time but maybe one day.
