should mk start over from scratch back to the basic story of the first tournament or should there be a new generation mentored by the old fighters? How do u think the characters should look??

I've heard a mix of comments from ppl reguarding the nxt game but I wanna no do u think the should start over or have a new generation with the older warriors training them? Personally i'd like to see it start over again that includes some costumes aswell e.g

Scorpion: didn't look very gd on mk vs dc mask wasn't great and the fact that it came off and his mouth was half a skull was daft he looked gd on other games mk3, mk sm and mkd he looked gd on all of them

Shang tsung a different person on mk vs dc 2 the the previous 3 games he looked much better on mk vs dc

Sub zero: looked best on mk vs dc

Raiden: the whole dark raiden looks crap looked best on mk da and during the start video for mk d

Reptile: hasn't looked gd since the old 2d games his human form is much better than these weird forms he keeps changing into starting from mk4

Lui Kang: get rid of the zombie things he looks shit his human form has looked pretty much the same all the time which is cool he reminds me of tony jaa who would be awsome as Lui Kang in the new film.

Kung Lao: think hu looked bes on mk sm

Jonny cage: doesn't look 2bad on mkda mkd & mka but think the whole three quater shorts with wraps needs 2 go can't imagine him walkin round like that

These are all original characters and should all get a place in the new game and btw if ur goin 2 add loads of new characters don't go addin 2many woman all I hear is ppl askin 4 them they all look like pornstars not warriors!!!!!!

Oh boy... First off, too many threads about the same subject... I clearly have one opened about the storyline and rivals, others have the characters threads... So, here's my opinions...

I would rather have the MK team develop a brand new story... keep some originals but not too many. Brand new batch of characters should be welocmed in the game.

I don't remember seeing a single person asking for the female characters to look like porn stars. I would actually like to see more female characters be added to the roster only because majority of the fighting games that I play barely have female characters... not to mention they make the females incredibly weak which is clearly not true...

But anyways, I'm not sure why you start mentioning about character looks when the title of this thread is asking for the story line... That kinda threw me off guard a bit.

Do you play Soul Calibur 4 Icebaby? You mentioned that the fighting games you play don't have very many female characters, which ones do you play? I personally only play SF, MK, and Soul Calibur. I mentioned SC4 because it has an enormous amount of female characters. Out of 34 or so characters 16 are female.

I will admit that I was not too pleased that several of my favorite mk characters were left out of mk vs dc. Several of them female. Jade, Mileena, Sindel, Kira, Tanya, and Sareena.

Also ditto on the porn star thing as well. I mean don't get me wrong. I'm a guy and I like looking at breasts as much as the next guy but it can be overdone (Taki I'm looking at you and those tumors on your chest). Although the mk team is no where near as guilty of this as some other franchises. I would be happy if they toned it down slightly. One of my personal pet peeves is the ladies foot wear. I can't stand it when they are fighting in high heels. Give them boots damn it.

One of the reasons I'm a huge Sonya Blade fan. At least she is always dressed for a fight. Sorry for the slightly off topic rant/ response.

i didnt say ppl requested the women 2 look like pornstars but appart from sonya kitana and ashra the pretty much all do! im sorry but i just dont think they need anymore women as there story lines r crap and they dont do anything and that thing about the being weak dude if u knew ur biology ud no that women are genetically weaker then men its just the way it is man cant b helped!

I can barely understand what you're writing but... women are genetically weaker than men? Whoa whoa... Get your facts straight before you say that again becuase the last time I remember, guys would never be able to handle pregnency and PMSing, hot flashes and shit like that... And yes, I do make a big issue with something like this.

But departing from that before it gets out of line and I'm not saying another word about it anymore...

You don't want more females becuase of their story lines? Majority of the females had really good stories such as Frost, Sindel, Ashrah, and Tanya (Besides having a crappy ending in Deception).

They don't do anything? Last time I remembered, Sindel is Queen of Edenia, her daughter Kitana is the princess, Tanya is a traitor, Sonya Blade is a General of the Outerworld Investigation Agency, and Ashrah is a Demon who is trying to cleanse herself from becoming a good person. I'm sure that they've been doing a lot not just nothing.

Therefore, I strongly recommend you to get the straights facts before saying that there should be more men than women in fighting games... becuase this seems to be turning into a sexist thread in my perspective and I'm strongly offended by sexism.

Frankly, I think a lot of the women's storylines are far more interesting that more than half the guys.
Kitana, Sareena, Mileena, Tanya, Sindel, Li Mei, Ashrah, & Nitara's stories >>> Scorpion, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Kano, Jax, Baraka, Kintaro, Nightwolf, Stryker, Kabal, Motaro, Fujin, Kai, Jarek, Reiko, Blaze, Mokap, Kobra, & Shujnko's stories.

lol wow u guys have really turned innocent comment into some sorta sexist scandal!!! first of all i didnt say i want female fighters removed i said the newer ones like kiera, ashra, nitara are all crap not needed but thats not 2 say that some of the new men are any better! hsu hoa is useless, mavado not great either! seconed of all the whole pregnancy thing and wot eva else u said i said PHYSICALLY stronger! like arms, legs better for fighting women have my total respect for pregnancy and the other things the have 2 deal with I just don't like the newer women characters! You never said anywhere about the newer characters being removed. You only complained that the females looked like what 15 year old guys fantasize about the senior girls should look like in High school... aka, Sluts.

Not to mention that this thread totally went haywire about the fact that it's not really about the story anymore, mainly the fact that it's now talking about characters

Because technically, you threw me off topic by starting to talk about how the originals should look like... Though, if this is the new topic then... we shall talk more about this.

men have a bigger build than women. That is a fact. But women are more agile on average than men. So female ninjas would be the way to go. But gameplay wise everyone has the same amount of health. And the sad thing is sex sells. A bunch of drunk college kids will play a game like Bouncing Boobies 5 not Equality Fighting 2 and idiotic young adults who will buy anything with half-naked women on it are a core video game audience, like it or not. So I don't expect any changes to be made about that when the next Mortal Kombat releases... if another Mortal Kombat releases that is.

When I said that you threw me off in your post, FIRST POST... you were talking about the story line. The story line and if they should change it.

THEN..

You changed it to where you were talking about costumes. Why would you go from talking about the story line, which is the title of your thread, to discussing about clothes on the originial characters? That makes no sense if your topic is clearly talking about the story line and not clothes.

THAT'S WHAT THREW ME OFF...

Nowhere did I mention anything about the females looking slutty. Not to mention, I don't judge girls... or even females in a video game because I am a girl and I don't do things like that... but I never said anything about Mileena or anything...

And no shit that the guy would probably be stronger, but the way that you worded the first time saying that guys are genetically stronger than the female, I said that it wasn't true. But I doubt that if you should pick just some random guy and a random girl that the guy could be stronger. I'm stronger than some guys at school, and yeah I'm only 105 pounds, but that doesn't mean shit, if I can kick the shit out of a guy's ass then that means I'm stronger right? Yeah, that makes sense...
