Scorpions Next Chapter
Scorpions Next Chapter
Assuming he does return in MK7..What do you all think the spectre will be doing in MK7 ? Suppose if Quan Chi returns he'll be hunting him again but if Quan Chi doesn't come back..What do you all think he'll be doing next game ?
I predict Scorpion having a big involvement on the fate of the realms in the next Mortal Kombat game. I suspect a rivalry with the mysterious character Monster aswell as a rivalry with the thunder god Raiden.
Monster must have fallen out of the Elder Gods graces because Scorpion was given the title as the "Champion" to them. Monster I would say becomes envious and he resents both Scorpion and the Elder Gods for betraying him so and to mock him by having a being born of the Netherealm to replace him.
Scorpion now as a loyal servant to the Elder Gods would do as he is commanded. The next order I predict Scorpion will be layed upon him would to be assasinate Raiden. I find it ironic in Scorpion's story because as far as he had travelled and all the events he had seen in his quest for revenge, he returns back to his origins as a ninja serving a master.
I believe the next Mortal Kombat would be a civil war between the Elder Gods and the mortals of all the realms, as mysterious as the Elder Gods have been in the past Mortal Kombat games, I expect to see light shed upon them.

Well, they need to improve Scorpion's story. Majorly, after all the depth they've taken out of it just to have him there, it's high time Scorpion go back to his pre-retcon days of glory.

I don't know if he should come back. If you think about it, he has done all of his revenge. He knows who did all thoughs things to him. What purposs would he have.

Scorpion still hasn't really gotten his revenge on Quan Chi. Aside from that, he's now the Champion of the Elder Gods so he has to stop Onaga from unmaking all of reality. With the revelation in MKD that Noob Saibot was once the Original Sub-Zero, there's potential for Scorpion's story to have more to it with the encounter of the two undead warriors.

I don't think so...Scorpion is currently focused on hunting down Onaga. I mean, if Onaga succeeds, Scorpion will never be able to get his revenge on Quan Chi.

I swear on my soul, that the Tekunin, will leave no survivers, good or evil! All because of you i lost my soul and my human body. I will be human again!!!And with a barrage of missles, Sektor had slain Shao Kahn for good and took his rightful place as King of all the realms..... until the next tournament.

well i think the next game should consern Scorpion as the main charcter. Being that he is the Champion of the Elder Gods.

Oh no...please no.
Scorpion is overrated and his role in MKD was simply a lame attempt to improve his already stale and boring storyline. I really hope his ending/story aren’t exactly cannon. That would suck. Just my opinion though.

hmm id like scorpion to be a slave to whoever is ruler of the netherealm (hell)..or sumthing around that...i think scorpion had to much attention in mkd...
The end of scorpion at the hands of the now new spycho killer noob. With the only help of smoke our vigilante as destroyed all hope for a mk 7 roster
involving the s team: sub zero and scorpion wich have been annaliated at the beginning of the new game, armagedon to signal one simple fact, mk as whe know it is dead, why, because noob will in one single game exterminate all the useless classic fighters that have walked the mk series like scorpion and the always never ending sub zero family lineage of crazy ice lovers.

Well, regardless of if Scorpion killed or did not kill Onaga, he's the Elder God's champion. His bio stated it and the bio are all canon. I believe Scorpion will fight against Noob Saibot in the next game. Noob Saibot wants to take over Earthrealm and that's basically where Scorpion is most of the time(though, with his new found powers, he might be hanging somewhere else).
Scorpion and Sub-Zero teaming up for the first time ever.....I believe that's what we're going to see in the next game.

I'd love it if Quan Chi stayed dead, so essentially Scorpion's story is ended.
In my mind, he remains in the game now purely as the champion of the Elder Gods. The drawback with that is, potentially his story gets pretty boring now, but I'd definitely like his revenge pact that ties him to Earthrealm to be over.
You might even make it so he only agrees to be the Elder Gods' champion so he can stay in the realm of the living. Which could potentially tie him to Noob Saibot, I guess.
His bargain gives him an opportunity to make sure Noob is returned to the Netherrealm, to suffer alone. He might even aid Sub-Zero (current) in taking Smoke back, and restoring his mind, even if they can't save his body or soul.

How would st aying in the living world bring him to Noob Saibot? Noob is taking over the Netherrealm, not Earthrealm. I guess the Elder Gods could send Scorpion to stop Noob and that's where he would find out about Noob's identity.

Well, he's allowed to remain in the realm of the living as the Champion of the Elder Gods. That doesn't mean he can't go on missions elsewhere.
One would assume that Noob's involvement in future games would mean he IS probably operating in the realm of the living still, though. If I'm not mistaken, it's mentioned that Smoke is only the first of a team of assassins he hopes to recruit -- which insinuates further operation in the realm of the living.
Like you said though, the Elder Gods might have Scorpion fight him in the Netherrealm. Who better than Scorpion to send?

Nobody, that's who. Only Scorpion can go in the Netherrealm(well Quan Chi, Shinnok and Noob too) without any problems. He would be the perfect solution to get rid of Noob. Add Sub-Zero to the mix and you get one hell of a story.
Or maybe the Elder Gods could give Scorpion access to Heaven if he does a couple of missions from them, one of them being the elimination of Noob Saibot.

You're not banned yet coltess?? Wow.... The moderators sure must've been nice or something...Guess it has to do with the holiday spirit or some shit...
Anyhoo...I personally think that Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero should greatly tie into Scorpion's story in MK7.

If I understand the story right, the deaths of Sub-Zero (Noob) and Quan Chi allow him passage to "heaven." So, I don't know if he'd need that.
The character really has no motivation to stay alive, but y'know, they're hardly going to dump him any time soon. So, I reason that he either wants to stick around for the sake of it, or he accepts the role as Champion out of honor, because I can't imagine him being forced to.
I'm sure he'd take care of Noob without a reward.
I'm sure somewhere along the line someone could tell Scorpion about Noob's true identity, and that would be enough motivation to take him out.
Or, alternatively MK8 -- Noob (more powerful than ever) and his army of assassins seeks to conquer ALL realms, and merge them with the Netherrealm.
Or you could look at a completely new structure, with more motivation relevent to the clans. Sektor and his techninja army springs to mind when you start talking about Noob forming a league of assassins.
Sub-Zero would be in the mix, trying to get Smoke back, and free him.
You open up the door to introduce new Brothers of the Shadow characters, that would oppose their former brother, Noob.
The Special Forces, as dull as they are, would naturally be there to protect Earthrealm's interests, along with Rayden's Earthrealm chosen, like the Order of Light's Kang and Lao.
I like the idea of the chessboard mentality, manipulating the different factions all based on their own motivations.
You'd have to throw Shao Kahn in there, with whatever minions he could recruit.
Heh, I guess I got a little distracted from Scorpion, but you can probably see how I'm more in the mindset of having everything derive itself from everything else. It's neater that way, I think. Good for continuity too.
You can have cohesive endings akin to most of Deadly Alliance's.

Actually, bios and even the main story of the games are never 100% cannon, there is always something, little or small that changes, or that ânever happenedâ?. Though I agree that taking away the whole stupid concept of âchampion of the elder godsâ? is something very unlikely to happen, I really hope it does. I hope it was all just a lie to use him as their tool for destruction and manipulation and success, nothing special.
After all, ANYONE could had been their champion, Scorpion only got the job because he was sent to the heavens after Moloch and Drahmin threw him into Shang Tsungs soulnado, they spotted him and gave him that new purpose.

I like Scorpion, but he is not as great as fans picture him, he is overrated. His story is just as dull and boring as other characters that get criticized (Jax, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kitana, Rayden, Liu Kag, Goro, Kahn, etc), he, just like the rest, needs improvements. People complain about deaths and resurrections, about repetitive roles in the game, about constant clichésâ¦well, thatâs Scorpion.
I do think he has potential, and he is a classic, a true mk warrior, I like that about Scorpion, its just that I hate the way his character has been going ever since Mk2â¦.he is boring, and fans pretend to go blind and ignore the fact that their fave ninja warrior is not as perfect as they all think.
