There was this rumor that for MK9 the FOUR least played Kharacters would be out of the next game (MK10).

Could his be the reason that most of the heroes were killed?

confused: Hmmm...

Sorry, don't see logic here. What do you mean? They were talking about online least playable characters, not whatever happened in story mode?!

Yea most likely, I think thats why they killed Cyber Sub-Zero so they can revive him as a human in to advertise the next game as the Iconic blue ninja.

It will probably play like this. Raiden only has enough magic to revive a few heroes, not all. So only the popular characters will make it back

I think Jax, Smoke, and Stryker will get cut from the dead side.

They can use the "Sindel killed everyone" angle as an "excuse" to not put all of those characters who died (Jade, Stryker, Jax, Kabal, Cyber Sub...) and as GlockXIII said above, Raiden can only resurrect some of the heroes (the populars online)

That's how I see the situation.

I highly doubt they killed off the heroes to prevent such a thing and that rumor has to be garbage, Quan Chi's at the bottom and the sequel isn't going to not include him or Mileena for that matter.

I don't think so. Did they just assume who the least played characters would be? Because if so they missed the mark big time. Last I heard Quan Chi and Sheeva were both near the bottom and they both survived story mode.

Well obviously they can't get rid of Quan chi. -_-

but characters like Sheeva and Stryker have no point in coming back..

Oh brother, they have just as much a right and purpose to come back as anybody else, people always hate on them, but most never provide a good reason, they never show up, so it's not like people can say we see them too much, or their story never goes anywhere, because they don't ever get a chance to do anything, whereas certain characters show up in every game and don't do much.

They're great characters, but more importantly, they bring unique and fresh gameplay to the series and great characters diversity in their looks and designs, which every game needs.
