1. Yeah but he puts down Rain just as much and way more often. I just treat it as Boon being Boon.
2. True, they do have a history of almost making Sareena and then backing out. Obviously I think it'd be great if she beat that streak and got in via DLC but I have considered her being shafted yet again as a possibility.
3. Again, I don't place much value over Twitter demands. I don't think NRS should either considering the whole "Put Reiko in or I'll harrass you" fiasco.
(I almost want to consider the comic melting Reiko as a fuck you to that guy but that'd be too silly....and hilarious)
4. Another Cryomancer would not stand out but another Kung Fu style character would? C'mon.
They could disregard having a female in entirely and just have: Cyrax, Baraka, Rain and Fujin who are in my mind the most likely/popular to get in overall.
After all It's not set in stone there has to be a female DLC for the sake of diversity.
I agree with you on everything but 4 and the females. They've always had a slight percentage of male to female ratios. Even the two DLC packs we've gotten were 3 to 1, I expect that to stay the same.
As for 4, the ice gimmick is already worn pretty thin with Sub and 3 variations of it. Another 3 is stretching it incredibly thin. Almost like having Shang Tsung and Shinnok in the same game, there's almost no point to it unless there's an incredible difference in the way its portrayed and used in kombat. It's possible and they could pull it off but given how quickly she was handled in the Story Mode, I feel they neatly explains where they stand with her in-house.
Lastly, as for Li Mei being yet another Kung Fu style character, I mean, aren't they all in that regard? If she were to appear, I'd hope they'd make her a fast, nimble character (like a female Liu Kang) and mix in some swordplay since she had the Kunlun Dao in the 3D era, not relying entirely on her projectiles. Maybe like Michelle Yeoh from Crouching Tiger?
