My idea is to bring Mortal Kombat Mythologies (possibly?) back to life.

The new game exclusively on PS3 could go something like this :

The Player: Scorpion.... when he was still human.furious

The Gameplay : 1- Exploring his extensive, grueling training toward becoming a ninja assassin ( played like flashbacks....perhaps?)

2- How his animosity toward Sub-Zero and The Lin Kuei came into fruition,
leading up to...

3- His re-incarnation, as the bad-ass ninja spectre we know, receiving that cool spear, and eventually avenging his clan and family's deaths at the hands of Sub Zero at the Lin Kuei.

Features : Netherealm, Outworld, Hell (maybe ?), The Living Forest.

To all my Mortal Kombat Players out there ... Please tweet Mr Boon with this idea right now and let the MK Mythologies Stories continue. Let me know what you think about this. Holla Back !

If this game is successful I'd imagine there would be great opportunity to make more spin-off games. A Mythologies game starring Scorpion definitely has potential to be incredibly awesome gameplay-wise.

While it'd be nice to see his major life / undead moments, he's just not interesting enough to have a game around him. Whilst you could argue similar about SubZero I, his whole game served as a prequel to MK4, thus having SubZero participate in a valid MK story.

For Scorpion's game to work as an MK game, it needs to mostly feature him *in* Mortal Kombat. But his story is far too shallow. Let's recap:

Training, fighting the Lin Kuei / SubZero

MK1, participating and killing SubZero

MK2: Er....witnessing SubZero II spare someone and deciding not to harm him. (btw...that out of character, wimpy "vow to protect" never happened)

UMK3: Er...wandering around aimlessly. Possibly allying with Kahn (though it's never stated why) and...thats about it. If he fights against Raiden's guys he loses, so....yeah.

MK4: Beats up SubZero II then takes on Quan Chi.

MKDA: Gets his ass handed to him in Outworld by Quan Chi, then later Moloch and Drahmin

MKD: Becomes Champ of the Elder Gods and accomplishes....nothing

MKA: Sulks a bit because the Elders reneged on their deal to fully resurrect his clan.

See what I mean? He's a one-trick pony. He's fun for it, but his story is limited; thats why they made a feeble plot device (the vow) to keep him around for the third game...which they later retconned anyway.

It would be cool if SCE Santa Monica Studios (the developers of God of War) where very pleased with this new MK and Kratos fitting into it, that they would decide to help NRS out with an adventure styled game.

MK Mythologies Scorpion, would work perfectlly

I'd prefer it be based on MK4. Mk4 is more interesting and needs a remake.

Could be quite fun. Trouble is it'll still suffer from what happened Shaolin Monks. I:e main characters acting like caricatures of themselves.
