Normally i would also rate. Especially in MK9 which had some silly fatalities so it's easy to choose a top ten. But in MKX every fatality fits the character and is gory in it's own way so i won't make a list :)

1. Cassie Cage. (Creative and full of personality. Far and away my favorite Fatality shown so far.)
2. Ferra/Torr. (Amazing use of teamwork displayed between the two of them. Presentation is great, too.)
3. Kotal Khan. (Concise, visceral, to the point, and it fits him perfectly.)
4. D'Vorah. (A little over-excessive for my liking. She could've just simply sent her insect minions to eat away the flesh on their head and face instead of ripping holes through them.)
5. Sub-Zero. (Although the idea behind the Fatality is stellar, the presentation makes me wanna kill myself. How many camera cuts can you have in a single Fatality!?. They detract from it greatly.)
6. Scorpion. (From what I've seen and heard, this one is going to be the epitome of over-excessiveness. What's the point of cutting someone's face when you've already burst a hole in their midsection with a fireball? Less is more, NetherRealm.)

All very good. Kotal Kahn's is pretty basic BUT I love how he squeezes the blood on his face, it gives what would otherwise be a generic unoriginal fatality a little bit of spark.

We all saw it in the first trailer in the frozen forest. Watch it again



I believe I have watched all the trailers and yes it is lame.

I'll just say, it's not a head decap; it's probably the most creative and gruesome fatality shown so far at E3.

Unless you went to E3 yourself or have covert, illegal footage, you cannot possibly have seen it. The trailer clearly fades to black as Scorpion brings the sword down, so (like the rest of us,) you aren't witness to it.

It is not a decap (which is clear from the trailer;) Scorpion slices off the front of the opponent's face, which slowly slides off, then they collapse with their brains spilling out, blood pouring out of their nostrils, and their vocal cords/tongue moving around as they try to scream (or so multiple sources say.)

Thus, I don't know how you can already say it's lame when every single person who saw it at E3 commented at how gruesome it was and how the effects are incredibly graphic, and none of us have actually seen the entire fatality.
Obviously, I haven't seen it, so I'll reserve judgement till I eventually do.
It sounds cool to me, though.

3. Ferra/Torr (The fact that all of the organs have now been modeled in and clearly displayed is what pushes it up for me, even if it is just a bifrication.)

Since we don't get the pay off for Scorpion I'm leaving it out of the rank. The start up with the fire ball through the abdomen is pretty great though.

You haven't seen it. As a matter of fact, you don't even know what the Fatality entails.

You all must be on crack. You're all talking about the second one that we all saw most of the fatality. I'm talking about Scorpions Spear Decap that he did to Subby in the frozen forest!
Want details? Scorpion lashes out his spear and decapitates the head and slams the head against a tree then he throws his sword and it impales through the head into the tree.
