Question about Scorpions story in MKX (Comic)

Obviously Spoilers.

So I don't actually have a copy of any of the comics but I just saw all of issue one. I get that the story jumps around in time but I'm gathering that Scorpion is good now? His new clan is made up of other people who lost their families in the "Netherrealm war"? Are the "Netherealm Wars" something we haven't seen, or does this refer to the war between the two clans? Quan Chi's involvement is the only way I could anyone naming the war this.

The Neatherrrealm war is obviously the battle against Shinnok and Quan Chi. Looks like they will maybe in game story mode show a little of that and, then move past it through years, up to 25 yrs.

Right. I believe the "NetherRealm War" is essentially the story of MK4, but the comic is taking place after that. No word yet if the MKX game-storyline will start b4 this yet. I personally hope so.

Well Ed Boon did say in early interviews after the game's announcement that the story would take place in certain increments over the course of the 25 year span. Some just after MK9, some 10 years, 15 years, etc.

I'm thinking we'll pick back up right after MK9 and spend a good portion with the Netherrealm War (kind of like how MK9 did MK1/MK2/MK3 segments) and then when that's over start spanning in the 2nd and 3rd acts towards the later parts of the game, after the comic series.

I also got to say that it's pretty smart since we have a mix of both "I wonder what happened that made these characters change so much since the last game" and yet still not any spoilers from what could possibly happen after the comic's events.

I'm all for the time jumping and I really wanna see this "Netherrealm war"... "Good Guy Scorpion" that I'm a bit worried about lol.
