December 31st is a placeholder date for games who have unknown release dates.

Gamestop still has it schedule to be release on June 2nd. So lets hope it will be out by then.

What I think would be a neat consolation would be the ability to import our costumes from the previous game.

Safe to say I think that last gen versions may be cancelled. June 2nd is a mere 2.5-3 weeks away. Still silence. Now with a placeholder date for many websites in place, it's looking grim for the old systems. If it was coming, you would have seen something on it by now.

I was thinking about just waiting for the PS3 version to come out, I am lucky I got a decent tax return which allowed me to pay for my PS4 shortly before the game came out. I would be going crazy right about now!

TBH,there was absolutely no footage for the PC version before the port came out. Wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing for PS3/360. we shouldn't jump to conclusions yet. (besides,Gamestop claimed WB sent them the information,but if we go by what WB has officially announced,it's coming out sometime this summer,so,there's the explanation behind the apparent silence on these ports)

That sucks... I was really getting exited for mkx on the ps3. Im not bying a ps4 just for mkx. Aaaw dem, hope they dont cancel it.

old gen aint happening, every one said it for months, no one wanted to believe it....witcher, dying light, batman, all were cross gen by WB all got scrapped....mkx aint coming

They should just forget it. The main draw was releasing all versions the same day, but that is pointless now. I doubt they'll even sale many old gen versions anyway.

tbh I saved all my pennies last year and went and got a PS4 for MKX coz I wasn't sure how the PS3 version would look like....and now it looks like it might be going down to cancelville

I know not everybody can afford it, but it might be time to consider saving up for a next gen console, I originally didn't think it was worth getting one either, but I knew some shit like this would happen with a game I wanted eventually so I bought one the April before MKX was announced and glad I did.

I still think you guys are jumping the gun on this one. a lot of people did when neogaf posted the PS3/360 delay leak,thinking that it was false(given that it took slightly more than a week until WB finally announced the delay).
then again,WB has been awfully quiet regarding these ports.
I'm honestly more worried about the quality of the ports,and how the patches + extra content is going to work with it.

chances are they are gonna can it, or wait until next year and release an Ultimate MK X port for all consoles.

Focus and resources has been on the current version of the game for the PS4/XBone, it'll be very difficult to launch a different/inferior version and dedicate time and resources dealing with problems and issues faced there.

Its more than likely going to get cancelled, WB canned the last gen ports of Dying Light and Mad Max.

then why didn't they can it along with mad max? the rumor was posted the same day mad max got canned on ps3/360. TBH,MKX is a fighting game,and it's very possible to downgrade it(look at the mobile version). it's not the same thing as mad max,an open world game.
