We may get a trailer in Halloween.

I could see them doing something for Halloween. Perhaps Kenshi's reveal video. Boon's certainly hinting at him enough.

As for the reveal schedule, I'd expect a character a month through the end of the year and probably January as well. Once we get a month or two away from release, I could definitely see them opening the floodgates with another large blowout on par with or even bigger than the original reveal. Some modes, new fatality type and at least six characters, maybe even more.

Just a guess though.

I really like the way they're handling the marketing this time around.

I can't recall, how far out from release were we when the MK9 demo was hacked and leaked?

I could be wrong, but I want to say that it was in the last month before release. I remember resisting the spoilers for a week or two and then some awesome person just outright posted about Cyber Sub-Zero, so I thought "ah screw it..." And read the story spoilers about two weeks before release.

But yeah, I like what they're doing too. They had a huge reveal with a lot of characters and info right after the initial trailer. They've followed up with a slow but steady trickle of info with the well done profile videos.

Like I said above, I can only assume that they'll have another blowout with a bunch of characters, modes, the new fatality(s) etc a month or two out from release next year to get everyone hyped up.

I just hope they've learned from the demo issue last time and can really keep things under wraps until they're ready to reveal things or let the players find them. I know that people want info as soon as possible, but that was the one blemish on an otherwise great launch of a great game in MK9.

That was my whole reason for asking. It seems they've definitely learned their lesson. If I remember correctly, wasn't there some rage tweets from Boon? Something about being very disappointed in the fans? Heh. v.v

I do remember reading spoiler warnings everywhere and I'm just like goddamn. I know it's up to ME not to click it, but how the hell am I supposed to enjoy discussions in the forums when (mostly) everyone is discussing leaked material. Rock and a hard place, I tell ya.

But I love the momentum atm. They've got everyone puckered up tighter than a snare drum. It's painful for us, but in this case (when you're one of the anti-spoilers folk), I believe the ends will justify the means.

MK just posted on youtube about a live stream they're doing this Wednesday at 3 CST. My guess is we're getting a character reveal.
