Just because Midway have registered a site with this name does not mean it's an MK game or MK7. Name changes may happen, it might even be another project or some sort of side project, port etc. Until there is proper comfirmation I think it a little farfetched to be assuming things at this stage. Furthermore, we have no idea what storyline this Armageddon project is even going to take so to make this.

If something has been said, then please direct me to it and accept my apologies. The categories you've given just don't make all that much sense when we know nothing about this Armageddon.

Good Guys
Liu Kang - Is a shaolin monk and champion of Mortal Kombat, Liu Kang has no choice but to fight untill his title is relinquished. I could see Liu Kang taking charge now that Raiden is different.

Kung Lao - After being defeated by Shang Tsung, Kung Lao lost all of his confidence, Liu Kang encourages Kung Lao to fight and Kung Lao joins Liu Kang in his quest to reclaim his honor.

Johnny Cage - Johnny Cage knows that since Raiden has changed, Earth is going to need all the help it is going to get. Johnny Cage takes up arms and his sunglasses and follows Liu Kang where the Shaolin Monk and others are heading. Johnny Cage is the comic relief.

Kitana - After breaking free from Onaga's control, Kitana decides to return to Edenia to contact her mother and Jade to aid Earthrealm in their upcoming battle. Little does she know that when she returns to Edenia she would have to fight a whole new type of battle.

Sonya - Jax has been severely injured by a Red Dragon clan member that infiltrated the Special Forces base. Enraged Sonya ventures into the Outworld with Liu Kang and the others but has her own score to settle with Mavado. Little does she know, Sonya is being set up in a trap by a shadow of her past.

Kenshi - Reunited with Ermac and his Earthrealm friends, Kenshi would use his keen senses and his swordskills to aid Liu Kang and the others in their quest.

Ermac - A very vitol character to the forces of Earth. Ermac senses a strong presense that is greater than any that he has felt before. Ermac is a guide and guru to the Earthrelam warriors aswell as a mighty tool of power. Ermac is able to move mountains with his Telekenetic ability, a very important character indeed.

Fujin - Fujin focuses on dealing with his brother while giving advice and guiding Earth's warriors. Fujin does not travel with Liu Kang and the others but instead shows up from time to time, to show them they way. Fujin wishes to track down his brother and guide him back to the path he once walked on.

Sub-Zero - Sub-Zero would not travel with Liu Kang and the others due to an assault by Sektor and the Tekunin, Sub-Zero would first deal with Sektor and defeat his forces, but soon after he would be ambushed by the Brotherhood, which would take Sub-Zero to the Netherealm. In the Netherealm Sub-Zero's dragon Medallion would be stolen and under new ownership, Noob Saibot. Sub-Zero would then be aware of Scorpion who has mysteriously reapperead in his life. Sub-Zero would soon discover secrets that he never knew of previously.
