I think there are a few things that could be revisited from story mode that could lay the ground for the next game. I've already speculates on this one before but I'll bring it up still, Why was Quan chi in Mk1? Some things I've heard are that he or Shinnok sent visions to themselves as well.

Liu Kang was just burned did he die or do you think he'll come back?

What happened to ermac? Reptile? Kano?

Did Noob really die in the soulnado?

Black Dragon?

Will skarlet return?

Q: Why was Quan Chi in MK1? A: He was a dumbass. No, it was a retcon, he was accompanied by Scorpion from Netherrealm.
Q: What happened to ermac? Reptile? Kano? A: They are all fine.
Q: Did Noob really die in the soulnado? A: No one really dies in MK.
Q: Black Dragon? A: Pineapple juice?
Q: Will skarlet return? A: She never left. She has the guts for the sequel.

Oh I know these questions are for speculation though, like do you think the Black Dragon will come back. I would also like to see sareena and ashrah as evil at first then as the story progresses they join Earthrealm.

Obviously the big thing in the next game is going to be Shinnok's army of dead kombatants trying to take over Earthrealm

1.Liu Kang will be back, and I'm willing to bet he's gonna have it out for Raiden.

2. Ermac will probably relive hie Deception storyline and free the good guys. I'd like Reptile to meet up with Khameleon finally and actually do something, but he'll probably just end up as another henchman. And Kano will reluctantly side with the good guys to counter Shinok's invasion.

3. Noob will be back, but I think he'll sit out the next game.

4. They'll be with Kano.

5. Skarlet will easily return. What was the point of introducing her if she won't come back as part of the main roster? Especially with so many openings now that everybody is dead.

I really do think and hope that Liu Kang is okay, but should he really have it out for Raiden? After all, Raiden was right despite all the mistakes he made and Liu Kang wouldn't have gotten electrocuted if he didn't attack Raiden in the first place. As long as he isn't the main hero there's no reason not to have him.

I'm guessing Ermac will turn good since his master is dead now. Reptile might actually get some good character development, and Kano will probably leave outworld and find some new people to sell his weapons to.

I din't see much happening with the Black Dragon, but hopefully I'm wrong. As long as Kobra doesn't get involved I'll be fine.

And as for Skarlet, heck yes she should return! But she needs to have a personality and more of a story for the next game.

1. Will Johnny lose control of his powers and have to go to Seido?

2. Will Noob Saibot enter the realm of chaos?

3. Will Cyrax join the SF & Sektor form the Tekunin someday?

4. Will Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) become human again once resurrected?

5. Is there Smoke, Jade, Kitana & Reptile in the next game?

6. Will Rain & Kenshi be in the next sequel playable?

7. Will NRS for once have Tremor become a new member of the game?

8. Will Kung Lao come back?

9. Will Liu Kang go rogue and neutral until return to good again?

10. Can Mileena become neutral?

Dude killed him. Liu was distinctly not breathing, the camera did a close-up on his chest and everything. And then they used the phrase "tend to the fallen" when they teleported him away, which is a fancy way of saying "bury the dead". Ignoring for a second that Raiden looked surprised like he did it by fucking accident, because it's ridiculous for a god to not know how to use his own powers right, Self-defense is no excuse to fry a man when he was going to punch you and you can teleport.

And even if he wasn't dead, "scarred for life" is just as good a motive for revenge. Certainly always worked for Kabal.
So yes, regardless of whether or not Raiden was in the right (which is completely a matter of opinion, BTW, and I personally agree with Liu that Raiden lost his fucking marbles and should've been the one put down from the moment "ask Quan Chi for help" sounded like a good idea to him on), Liu would be in the right to seek revenge upon his return from the grave.

1. Yes I think cage will lose his powers and hell Havik is a HUGE possibility y not Seido?

2 I think it's be easy it wrote in that the soulnado nearly tore him apart but je explosion opened a portal and flung him into chaosrealm. Due to his tattered form he was reformed and revived by Havik as a tool of chaos

3. Cyrax definitely he was rebellious in his chapter and he could have malfunctioned after nightwolf kicked his ass. I think the tekunin could be a cool edition but not yet let sektor rule the Lin keui for a bit.

4. I think he may go human again but, this is just an idea, I think it'd e a cool alternative if we get bi-Han again. Think about it, the soulnado tears his soul apart into halves. What's left of his human soul is reformed on earth his other half is brought back in chaos.

5. Smoke I am very sure he'll return. Jade might. Kitana no not yet. Reptile definitely.

6. Yes they must come back. They have to.

7. Yes

8. Kung Lao not yet he'll stay dead for a while.

9. Yes he should stay scarred and bad, I'm tired of him being major supremo hero, new timeline so new hero and vengeful Liu kang.

10. Mileena could go neutral but o think she should start growing cold and calculated like before.

Will shujinko's story continue or will it be altered or stopped?

I have seen the soulnado ripped Noob in half thing too much so it's official. I'm just going to call him Venom now, since that's what everyone is suggesting he is anyway.

Because that's literally what that is. Forget that Bi han did evil things on Earth and that's what led him to becoming Noob Saibot, that's not a good story. No, let's just turn him into Venom and it's all good.

Sorry caged95 I'm not picking on you, so please don't take it that way. I just become increasingly more frustrated every time I see that idea. WTF was the point in revealing Noob Saibot as Bi han if Bi Han is just going to seperate from him?

I mean they killed Kuai Liang. However, his name is still Sub-Zero whether he's cyber or not. Also, seeing that death means nothing in MK it seems that it would be more likely that Kuai Liang would just get ressurected as Human Sub-Zero. Everyone keeps wanting Noob to either become Venom from spiderman, or take Scorpion's elder gods champion storyline from Deception. How original both of those ideas are.

I honestly think it would be much more original for Noob Saibot to wind up in Chaosrealm and team with Havik to try and take over the Netherrealm. Making him good guy by default in that game since the Netherrealm is what is invading Earth. So, basically it would force Noob's hand to be good because he's fighting against Shinnok just like Earth's forces are fighting against Shinnok.

Turning Bi Han into Venom just isn't a solution to me.

But I don't like Bi-Han to become Sub-Zero again. he's better off as Noob. He was never a good guy to begin with. Just neutral.

1. Will Reptile and Sheeva become good guys?

2. Will Jax, Kabal, Nightwolf, Stryker & Kung Lao be revived at the end of the next game or throughout?

3. Will Ermac rescue Sindel?

4. Will Shinnok learn of Quan Chi's plots and him stealing the real amulet this time?

5. Will Liu ever become the new King of Edenia this time?

Me neither. I'm not a fan of Bi-Han as Sub-Zero.

I've got to give it to him though to have only appeared in one fighting game as Sub-Zero he has some fans who have for some reason latched onto his arse and just won't let it go.

Kuai Liang has been Sub-Zero since MK2, and even got two chapters devoted to him in MK9. Yet, they still think Bi-Han needs to be Sub-Zero again. My thoughts on it are that he's the more EVIL of the two. He's not neccessarily bad, but between the two he's the bad one. In internet terms that means he's the better one. Because everyone knows that evil=better to some fans for whatever reason.

Either that or they hold onto Mythologies, and if that's the case they really need to let it go because that game....sucked. Sorry guys, but I just speak truth there.

I'll just list again the games that Bi han and Kuai Liang were sub-zero again though. Just for future reference.

Bi-Han
Mk1, MK:Mythologies, MK9 (no chapter)

Kuai Liang
MK2, Mk3, MK4, MK:DA, MK:D, MK:SM, MK:A, MKvsDC, MK9 (two chapters)

Now you decide who should be Sub-Zero based on that history.

My hint is actually from Armageddon.

As we all know, Shao Kahn and Raiden... I mean, Dark Raiden, are the final fighters at the end of Armageddon. This means everybody else is dead... or are they?! wow If you recall, the Shinnok who competed in the war was a mere copy of the true Netherrealm lord. Why is this relevant?

Let's skip to the end of Mortal Kombat (2011). By the way: spoiler alert for whoever didn't finish storymode yet. Anyways, we see that after Raiden and co. leave the scene, Quan Chi converses with Shinnok's astral projection, who reveals it was Shinnok who was the man pulling the strings on everyone!

But wait a minute, how could he have done all this? confused How could a fallen eldergod know how events could have turned out? How could he concieve a plan that would work so well "to perfection"? My theory is that he was tipped off, just how past Raiden was informed of coming events by his future self. The real Shinnok, who was absent from Armageddon, was sitting in his dark throne and sending visions of his own to his past self, therefore allowing his past self to stay one step ahead of everybody the entire time! Besides, what other pressing matter did Shinnok attend to? He must have seen his copy die, Shao Kahn attain the "prize" and see Raiden warn his former self of the current situation and I highly doubt Shinnok too isn't capable of such a feat as well. I also am interested in Jade's ending in particulat. Who is the "shimmering woman"? What was the realm Jade was in? So many questions arised when I saw it. I think the mysterious woman is the One Being! I think that because the narrator said that she came into the "waking world" through Jade's body, and I remember an old man in MKD konquest saying that the One Being is simply "asleep". Since the One Being is technically the realms themselves, then I'm guessing the woman is just an astral projection like Onaga and his Damashi avatar. Even if I am correct, then this would raise more questions: why Jade? Why now after she defeated Shao Kahn that she sees her? What are her plans? Oooh, I'm so excited to see!

I dont like bi Han as sub either but it'd be the easiest to immediately write in. Then he can return as noob. I lie quai liang better and hopefully we will see his human return. I've heard the idea of the one being and I kind of agree. Look at her dress it's shiny and copper-ish and damashi was a shiny orange ball of light. Maybe I'm reading too into it but it coul be a possibility. I personally love the idea of chaos noob and one being jade. I'd like to know why her. There is so much potential for the next game and although the endings aren't canon it's been proven that some have helped with character development. I personally think the Shujinko story should continue, but at this time he is in netherrealm I think. In deception before he goes into the earth portal raiden tells him to join MK. He had jet cleansed his soul with nightwolf and he must return to netherrealm fir his taint. Once there he learns from scorpion who is searching for quan chi which happened after MK 4, so I say he can be drawn into the battle by learning that earth is under attack. Afraid for his realm he embarks on a quest to warn raiden if the oncomin doom. He defies damashis orders to stay on the sidelines. So the one being gets desperate ad has been keeping an eye on the new timeline. Now as to why jade is possessed idk but It could work. As for shinnok, it has to be. I heard this idea back when Facebook had discussion boards and I loved it. It would make sense why quan chi was so involved and why he said that shinnoks plan worked to perfection. I would love to see drag in return and moloch could be the next games sub-boss. I'm excited for the next game because it could be so great. Vengeful kang, chaos noob, future aware shinnok, one being lingering. The altering also could have tipped the balances and maybe well finally see some other realms being the next big threat. With Kahn gone outspend would be in disarray. I say mileena could untie them for a while but there will be much revolution Bo Rai cho may feel it's a good time to attack and restore outoworld to it's beauty. Due to the disorder netherrealm gets in power. But since noob wants netherrealm if love to see him go chaos. Then that makes chaosrrealm a huge threat to earth and they could be savage. I mentioned it in another post but I'd like Onaga to return and instead of outworld he should rule seido. Orderrealm could be a huge threat to earth because they'd be organized and relentless. Idk like I said so much potential fir MK future

Not true. It is just hinted in his ending, but we do not know for sure if Shinnok sent a clone of himself or fought on his own. This fancy theory is only supported by MK wikia, which sucks.

Well, it's always been part of the canon that Shinnok can't leave Hell without the amulet. I think them saying "he sent a clone to the pyramid" in his ending was their way of explaining how he was there.

Yeah, technically Shinnok's ending is the only thing hinting a clone.. but it sort of makes sense for a mastermind like Shinnok to send a copy so he didn't get his hands dirty.

You know what would be cool? Chaosrealm likes to spread chaos and Orderrealm likes to develop order. Since Earthrealm is has a mix of order and chaos, it would be awesome if we had a plotline where Earthrealm was caught in a crossfire with forces from Chaosrealm and Orderrealm, and of course other realms wouldn't be too far from this struggle. Maybe not next game since Netherrealm's going to get a shot at it, but I would love to see something like this to come up!

Well if you think about it, for a successful invasion Shinnok would use everybody available, so he would instruct Quan Chi to revive the warriors because he has demonstrated the capabilities of ressurrection. Besides, when he does bring them back, they'll be more "cooperative". grin

Let's face it, what good are they to anyone if all they do is play dead?
