It would be a cool twist BUT I don't want it to happen because I like Erron as an original character. He is too cool to be another character in disguise...would be a huge waste. And we only have 8 new characters in the game.

I must say though, Erron is starting to grow on me...as his own character.

He was trying to tell them they had to work together against the Red Dragon. They didn't listen and kept attacking him. That's it.

I've toyed with the notion of Erron "being" somebody else before - I'm probably one of the sources of that silly "Cage is Erron" theory that was going around a few weeks ago.

Nowadays, if you had to ask me if he "was" anyone, I'd say Stryker or Kabal would be likely choices (although if it were Kabal, Kano would have recognized him, so no).

But I don't think that's the case. From Kano's comment that Erron is usually trying to save people rather than exploit them, it seems like he's being written as a "hard-ass mercenary with a heart of gold". I think he was just trying to tell them he was on their side.

I've been joking about Erron Black being Stryker and I think that'd make me actually excited to play Erron.

For one, (going off of the casting sheet,) he's substantially younger than Stryker (as he's apparently in his 30s-40s as of the present (25 yrs post-MK9) in MKX.) Stryker would probably be in his 60s (at least.)

Erron Black is Erron Black.

Stryker was dead and when he was resurrected he could revert back to the age he was when he first passed.

Cassie's team are seen fighting zombie Sindel and Kitana. "Years later" would have to be 25 years later. As in, that really means Stryker couldn't be Erron.

I would say this is definitely a possibility, but it's still a bit too early to tell

If Stryker was like Jade and stuck in the Netherrealm after the defeat of Shinnok (presumably until the events of MKX,) he couldn't possibly take on the role of Erron Black, because Erron is active during (at least) the 15 year post-MK9 mark, when Cassie and Jacqui are still teenagers.

I didn't know about the timeframe of Cassie's team fighting the Netherrealm warriors.


So that obviously means Stryker, while in the Netherrealm, had come across Shang Tsung and interrogated the Sorceror on his shapeshifting abilities. Soon, crime will not have one face to fear, but all of them, as Kurtis Stryker takes down crime from inside out.
