Several things, the whole purpose of this game was to prevent Armageddon, Shao Kahn might return, but for the next game? It kind of would defeat the whole point of MK9.
Why would people want to keep buying the same DLC characters, but on a different game? If DLC characters are prominent, they should be MK characters, let MK stand on its own.
I wouldn't expect this game to cover anything other than Shinnok's invasion, MK Deadly Alliance has been effectively written out of history, so what happens after Shinnok's invasion is anybody's guess.
I don't have a problem with Hornbuckle showing up, but Taven shouldn't show up next game, he wasn't awake then nor did Shinnok's invasion tie in with him at all.
An orange Cyber ninja? We already have Cyrax and Sektor, I just don't see the point of wasting a good opportunity to reintroduce someone like Kai, Sareena, Drahmin etc for a character that is 100% redundant and generic.
Aqua, Red Robin, and Belokk in my view could be substituted for current MK characters that lack any good development and need it, one or two rumor characters is cool, having 8 or 9 is overkill in my opinion, some people find established characters irrelvant and if Aqua's and Hydro's names are any indication, their powers will be the same as Rain's and hence redundant, we need characters with unique movesets.
I'd also like to say that the MK wikia is not always reliable, some of those characters could be Mugen edits or anything for that matter.
Havik is a great choice for returning character, especially considering his new connection to Noob, he could really stir things up in MK10.
Kenshi, Skarlet and Rain should return, get their proper development, but especially Kenshi and Rain, I'm not quite sure what Skarlet would be doing next game, but she deserve a chance despite my general mehness towards her.
