This is the closest he's ever looked to his MK1 self so it's like a "full circle" type of feeling. Plus we finally get to see his human self which is awesome!

IMO,Kano was at his best in MK3: great moveset,was a high tier character(and very well balanced) he had an unique design and as well as some iconic fatalities(even if they were cheesy).
during MKDA/A,he became surprisingly dull and slow. he was a bit better in VS DCU and 9(his VA was perfect) but his gameplay hadn't really improved.
MKX finally corrected this last issue and I have to say,given that MK3 was released 20 years ago(April 1,1995) it's nice to see Kano make a comeback. He really needed it.
As for Quan Chi,my main problem was gameplay wise,not story wise: he was much more fun to use in MK4 than in any of the following games(he always came across as being too slow IMO) but MKX again,thankfully,gave us the most badass version of Chi to date.

Because Jax is one of the few that didn't have much to work with in MK9.

I thought Jax in MK9 was fantastic. He was one of the only characters who actually felt like a grappler, and he was super fun to play.

I'm bias, but this is both my favorite version of ninja Sub-Zero and also my favorite version of his unmasked MK3-MKDA costume. The revenant costume is really cool too. If they bring back his MKD armor I could have all my favorite looks for my favorite character in the same game.

Shinnok. The guy can finally be taken seriously and doesn't look like some crotchety old man in a stupid hat. You know....unless we're talking about his devil alt (LMAO)

Other than him Ermac and Quan Chi I would say most of the designs in this game are...really kind of bad.

I don't mean they don't look awful, but for fighting game characters they are way to subtle and practical and low key.

Worst by far : Ermac! Should be scrapped out, and be replaced with Rain.

No. I agree that Ermac is by far the worst out of the bunch and that's what makes me mad because I actually like Ermac. I'm just not diggin him in MKX.

Maybe its just me, but god damn it, its the mouth and his anatomy. So skinny and his mouth is always visable. I love Ermac but jesus.

Exactly! And his "Superman floating" irks me so much! It looks so stipid it's not even funny. Kenshi's Kenjutsu variation is 1000 times better than ALL of Ermacs.

I really like what they did with Quan Chi, his sorcerer variation is long overdue.

Kano looks great and finally we get to use his eye laser in a meaningful way not the bullshit they pulled off in previous games, this time it's actually more useful.

I'm inclined to say that Kano has impressed me the most out of the classic characters.

Even though Sonyas demo stream left me lack luster compared to kitana, who I thought initially looked amazing, I'm finding myself daydreaming about Sonyas parry variation

I'd love to main it, though I'm doubting my skill level
