Well he is a fan favorite, and he was in MK vs DC universe. They put all the top priority characters in that game, so maybe he'll appear in MKX too. Maybe that Gamestop commercial was right about the Mileena and Shang Tsung leak.

Maybe you would only be able to morph into one of the person you are fighting's two other variations? That would be interesting.

In a game with this variation system, his morphing abilities would probably not be as important as in past games. In fact, for the first time ever, his own moves would become the focus of the character. I think that would be pretty interesting which is one of the reasons why I really want Shang in this game.

This. Let the denial pass guys, Shang and Mileena are being majorly hinted at through a lot of different mediums and sources. And they're...instantly recognizable. Whether you're a hardcore fan or just a casual, you might not know WHO it is, but you know it's MK. Especially if you're a gamer, and anticipate upcoming releases.
