Good. Even though I have a PS4, the idea of console exclusive characters bothers me.

Yeah that means no Xbox exclusive character either. It sucks but oh well. No Sweet Tooth or KI characters.

And for the record, NRS asked MS if they wanted a guest character but MS declined. Sony didn't get any special treatment in that regard.

I guess they couldn't strike a deal with the consoles so that means they may be sticking to just MK characters this time. The DLC may have a movie guest character though I have a feeling it is going to happen.smile

This has to to be the best news in over a month! glasses Now just to get rid of the cross-platform guest character, then everything would be GOLDEN grin

I never was a fan of the guest character idea so I'm not bothered by this.

I'll never understand why guest characters were/are such a big deal. Its just another awesome layer on top of what is already, a 15 layer awesome cake. That's 16 layers to you and me.

And don't give me the whole "its a slot an MK character could've had" thing, the roster has been set in stone for a lot longer than the time it would take to put a deal like this together.

Oh well, this announcement doesn't hinder my enthusiasm for the game. Can't wait to see what NRS has in store.

I take this as good news. Even though I own a Playstation, I'm not too keen on many of their exclusive games and characters. I'd rather have someone else over Sweet Tooth.

I just hope it isn't Jason Voorhees or another horror movie villain. It would be a bit too predictable after Freddy. I want to be genuinely surprised.

Ada Wong and Albert Wesker confirmed

Lol JK
That rocks.

As much I think KI/Twisted Metal would've been decent I wouldn't want it over actual MK characters. Still I expect some type of guest character because that's how fighting games are nowadays. Maybe in the form of optional DLC which would be great, I did not like the Kratos solution one bit.

What if it was an SF character like Akuma? On second thought not even Akuma would be allowed to have fatalities done on him. Maybe Predator?

Well that sucks. No Freddy Kreuger, No Kratos???

What about Spawn? Spawn would be tough.

NRS better not cash in a Spawn appearance on anything other than an Injustice sequel.

No Sweet Tooth? Damn.

Oh well. I guess that opens up more opportunities for more guest characters.

Or no guests at all. Doesn't matter either way for me.

It's not "no guest characters for sure," it's just "no Playstation exclusive." Don't know why some are saying that here.

So just because we're not going to get one measly little guest characters all to ourselves doesn't mean we're not going to get a guest character at all. It's been well established a few months ago that we are indeed going to get a guest character.

To me, this news is indifferent.

Yes we (PS4/3) users will indeed get a guest character (cross-platform) only, which is fine I guess.
For those of you who do not want a guest character, you simply don't buy that DLC. That is what I will be doing, depending on who it is.

And that's fine. I didn't like Freddy and to this day I still haven't bought him But I don't dislike him as much as I do Kratos.

A guest character who got his own stage, a fraction of the cover box to constantly remind you he's in the game and weird treatment when it comes to fatalities.

A little annoyed if it's true, but on a positive note, no character that I couldn't play as or kill in the X-Bone version.

I'm remaining hopeful of a multi-platform guest (or several), partially to watch purists squirm, again. That never gets old.
