So I was reading Chapter #3 again, probably for the 10th time actually, and one line stood out to me more than before. Fox says to Takeda "If you thought Hanzo was a harsh master before, wait until you meet the real scorpion."

It occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, this demon has seen scorpion's wrath before and has a reason for massacring his clan. Could the demon be Bi-Han?!?!?

Perhaps his soul was really separated from Noob and he's gone full fledge evil, he was already pretty evil before, and Raiden referred to him as a threat numerous times. This might also explain his and the daggers connection to Quan Chi, which he was also talking about right before Takeda split his head in half.

Also it seems in this new time line that events tend to repeat themselves but in slightly altered ways. Bi-Han coming back as a demon, either freed from Quan Chi or even still working for Quan Chi, to kill scorpions new clan is a pretty interesting twist on the original story I think.

Anywho... I think this could be awesome.

Eh, while Bi Han being the demon would be an interesting approach for sure, part of me still thinks it might either be Onaga attempting his Damashi shit again (purely because of the Kamidogu being present) or a new character all together.

I think the line was just a reference to Scorpion only recently gaining control of himself and his past self being more ruthless and unforgiving.

... here's your Subzero, now plain zero.

If they separate, then I want to play both in the story, demon or not. Noob and Saibot have a good thing going with Havik and I want that to see their ties being created in MKX.

Doesn't Raiden say "Fear he who walks in shadows" or some shit like that? Makes sense.

Raiden mentions that the demon comes from a distant realm that wasn't accessible before the netherrealm invasion broke dimension barriers or something like that. I don't think Bi-Han would work in this case.

"...walks in silence." I believe it was.

Pretty sure we'll run into a physical form of Bi Han. I still think the teaser of the other Subby fighting the cyborgs might be Bi Han. His outfit had a subtly darker motif than the Subby who's in the first issue.

Nah, Scorpion claims that Sub-Zero and him never talked about feelings during the nightmare (which made me lol as out of context it was like they were ex-boyfriends or something) so this one was trying to recreate his memories but couldn't do it right because unlike Bi-Han, it didn't have all the information.

It's funny when I made this post I was completely fixated on that one page in the comic and completely glossed over the fact that the demon sent scorpion the vision of his darkest day. But the thing is, Bi-Han didn't kill Hanzo's family, Quan Chi did, so in my mind, this could still be Bi-Han, who is focused on simply keeping Scorpion occupied in his dreamlike state so that Takeda can kill him.

However, I think this is probably just fun speculation, more likely than not, it's not Bi-Han. wink

Also, if Bi-Han wanted to kill him (I don't think he wants anymore, he is going on a different direction and forgetting his past as Sub-Zero), I don't think he would made a character like Takeda, that he doesn't even know and wasn't even supposed to be any more special for Scorpion that the rest of the clan, kill Scorpion instead of just going for it himself.

Scorpion knew this wasn't real because Sub-Zero didnt act like he should have....ITS NOT BI-HAN. plus its not his style at all, hes a more ruthless do it himself guy. Doesn't use others to do his dirty work. Also with my theory bi Han is alive and the sub-zero from MKX and too busy fighting the Lin kuei(and eventually being grandmaster) to be messing with Scorpion.

Odds are it's either:
A) Onaga (Likely)
B) Havik (also likely)

Or it could be a new character not yet seen; a reimagined Baphomet, or (and I very highly doubt it) Ruutuu.
