I do not know but what I do know is that Mileena's mask needs touching up. The white thread looks like it is painted on without any modelling or textures.

Also is Kotal's skin really a brown/grey? It looks like the blue/green is like a chalk that is coming off in some places most notably on the his left side of his chest. I liked him better in the comic as a blue humanoid.

I've been wondering about that.

In the comic, his skin is blue/teal; in the game, it seems to be peach-y colored beneath a slathering of green paint.

Strange.

Agreed. I must confess it's refreshing that he doesn't look like a jackass. The mature look really appeals to his character, much more than the "superstar" cliche he's been sporting for years.

That's two, NRS. Two characters that are more appealing to me than ever before.

This is something that I would like to see addressed, considering that the Kotal royal family are the only ones who have green skin, and the rest of the Osh-Tekk all look normal.

I think they nailed it with both of them!!

They nailed the underground leader look for mileena how her chains look kinda dirty and the stitches omg best mileena look to date!!!!

Johnny looks great too they nailed the older kinda young guy!!

I love that they kept Johnny's wraps from MK9. I think it really adds to the look of him being a fighter. And those shades look so good. Papa Cage is in the fuckin' house.

Mileena looks good too. Love the hair and mask.

I know that the Maya would paint a blue dye on sacrifices before their hearts would be removed and Kotal's design and backstory has Mayan elements.

It looks like a metallic brown/grey to me not peachy...

Well to be fair I really doubt the comic colour artist could fit the game's skin colouration in the comic since most things are just one colour with black stylisation

Some sort of priest-hood, maybe? Higher consciousness? Something to set them apart due to their skills and abilities. Like the equivalent of The Naacals (spiritual leaders) and Lemurians (population) of ancient times? Actually, if you buy into that, the Mayans were the actual priest-hood of those times. Relaying the messages of The Naacals to the outer populations.

Johnny Cage reminds me of a character in those 2d fighting games where you had to walk vertically across the screen to get further along the 'level'.

Good find.

JC probably has his best look to date - his MK9 look was too simple for my taste and wasn't too original. It's good to see him in a full outfit. Definitely plays the role of an actor too.

Mileena looks really, really good. I'm really liking this anime girl she has going for her. Love the hair and the Shao Kahn belt.

If you look around Johnny's neck, he also appears to be wearing a necklace with his wedding band on it like Sonya. Perhaps they so this to prevent loss or damage because of all the fighting? Lol awesome!

I have been getting pretty bored with Johnny Cage and his look, however I have to admit he looks really good in this.

Also of note... it looks like they have similar backgrounds in the renders. I would love for NRS to release a full cast photo! Or atleast a partial... Blacking out the few remaining characters that aren't announced.. and then filling in the roster as we get closer to release

Mileena is more badasss and scary than Johnny Cage, here... I think Mileena might become one of my favorites, in this game.

Kassandra, Kitana, Jacqueline, Mileena, Sonya, are all going to be my favorite kharakters in MKX!
