Only good thing about Armageddon- I was able to make a female cyborg LOL.
I think NRS can do better than to use LOTR races, they can take some references, of course, but lets try to keep it within the general dark tone of the game, not going all superheros on MK. The new characters show they are keeping the dark theme of the universe, I personally hope we don't have fairies, gothic vampires, benders, were-furries or some other "epic" mainstream crap to try to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Well what does anyone suggest?
We all got from MK humans on our planet while Outworld has various monsters and the Netherrealm has demons.
How about in the heavens, MK gets archangels for example?

Keep the bona fide feeling of the MK experience and not stray from the path that the game is mainly east Asian influenced. We often get the incorrect ethnic representation of the individual. Shao Kahn for example, the name sounds Chinese, yet he was perceived Caucasian and there are others. Be more adventurous with what you perceive one to be just because the name appears like it is from a certain ethnicity. Just because the name seems like it is from a actual location, does not mean a person has to look a specific way.

Doubt it means the origins can't be from some special style of oriental culture though. Aspects like the language, writing, residents etc. However, these features are not obvious in Outworld anymore. In nearly all films Shao Kahn has been part of (MK Annihilation and MK Conquest) he was portrayed in the act by white people, not fictional Outworlders.
