New MK revealed at Gamespot, but this is a very small update...

Sorry if this is old, but for those who haven't seen it and want something to jump around for, here it is(from gamespot:

"Looking ahead to 2008, with our core technology platform now in place, we expect to release a number of titles, including already announced console versions of Unreal Tournament 3, a next-generation installment of our NBA Ballers franchise, Wheelman, and TNA iMPACT! the video game," Zucker said in a statement. "We also expect to release several as-yet-unannounced titles such as next-generation versions of our hit franchises Blitz and Mortal Kombat, and two exciting new ambitious open world games. We intend to give more details on our 2008 release schedule in the near future."

In a month or two they will release something. They are working on that Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the DS right now, so are trying to market that. I'd say a week-2 weeks before the release of UMK, they will release something. It will come out on the cover of a magazine or something, just like what they did with Shaolin Monks.

I’m looking forward to getting new info, it’s been a long drought since the last sliver of news came.

Reading the interview on the next MK being darker and more like gears of war is getting my hopes up.

I'm even making a custom story for MK8 like some of the other ones you see around here (which, when I get the time, I'll check out.), should have it up here eventually.

Releasing something in a months time and not next year would be nice...

Yeah I know Midway should take their time to come out with a solid MK gameplay and graphic wise, but lol, I don't think I can wait that long... since it has been quite a drought season..
