From MK vs DC universe to Injustice, the story mode has been using certain characters as jobbers. None of these games ever featured new characters, with the exception of Skarlet, who didn't even appear in MK9's story mode.

How do you think the new characters will be handled in this regard? Will some be strictly jobbers, or will they each be allowed to make something of an impression, seeing as they're new, and thus might need to be handled with a little more care? After all, the likes of Baraka and Reptile, while they've always been secondary, weren't at all treated like jobbers until the story mode was introduced. Neither of the Konquest modes frequently jobbed out the same characters over and over again.

Anyway, of all the new characters so far, Ferra and Torr seem like the only ones (well, only Torr actually, Ferra being all brains and little brawn) that I find more likely to be jobbed out. Cassie's the likeliest to get a chapter of her own (if we get character chapters again), and D'Vorah and Kotal Kahn, even if they both end up villains, don't strike me as lackeys, for some reason.

I wonder if we should expect familiar enforcers to return, precisely because NRS is unable to tell a story without jobbers. Or are some of the new characters already doomed to be punching bags? It's amazing how the lack of a story mode (Konquest being a different animal) in past MK games seem to have done the enforcers, new ones especially, a favor.
